We're all just joking a bit, so I'll ask if Zen went back to CA or did she go from Churchill to the farm? I don't recall. Most would do the latter.

She did go back to CA for about a month.

As BL stated, she went back to California. They jogged her daily. And then in December they had her walk the paddock as a farewell.

Yeah, that was the period of the daily Meet n Greets. We saw her just before Thanksgiving and the gatekeepers and security guys had just given up. You just had to say "Zenyatta" and they waved you in.

Didn't recall what went on with her after the CD BC. I assumed she would've gone straight to the farm instead of going the shipping (and expense) of sending her back to CA.

They wanted to give her CA fans a chance to say farewell, so she flew home after the BC and paraded at Hollywood Park on December 5th. The next day she flew into Lexington and made a pit stop at Keeneland, to parade for more fans, en route to Lane's End.

^ this. Which is why, initially, after the CD BC there was some speculation if they would keep her in training. This was prior to them announcing she was going to be officially retired. People were chatting about the Dubai World Cup... although most of it was a pipe dream, because at her age it was kind of a given we were gonna be told she was retired.

Didn't see any announcement that CC was retiring. Heard he's coming back as a 4 year old. Based on his body of work through that year, how can anyone predict where and how much now?
