the sale is over but I thought it was interesting that US buyers tend to avoid the turf yearlings in the US but they fly to Europe and buy turf yearlings. Goffs got 47 interested buyers from the US to fly over by offering travel compensation. Repole picked up 2 Kingman fillies, DJ Stable(owner of Wonder Wheel) got a Sergei Prokofiev filly and a Street Sense filly(out of a daughter of Sophisticat), Commonwealth got a Wootton Bassett colt, Robert & Lawana Low got a No Nay Never colt, Stonestreet partnered with Valmont to get a Mehmas filly and an Earthlight colt.. I'm sure I'm missing out US buyers. There is a Wavertree Stables in the US, so if its the same they picked up a Sergei Prokofiev colt.
2 yearlings went for over €1m.
€1.85m - filly - Frankel o/o Multilingual - 1/2 to G2 Tilsit ; dam is a 1/2 sister to Kingman - to Coolmore
€1.65m - filly - New Bay o/o Falling Petals - full sister to MG1 Saffron Beach - to Amanda Skiffington
