"B" sex?

I was scrolling through Equbase workouts and noticed a horse listed as "B" rather than "C", "F", "H", "M", or "G." (The horse in question is named Morning Addiction.) What, please, is "B?" Bi-sexual?

Could it have been an "R" instead of a "B?" For Ridgling?

Morning Addiction is listed in Equibase as a "spayed mare."

i'm kinda interested in this now. Morning Addiction was sold in January 2021 as a broodmare prospect only. and then the complete opposite happens as she got spayed and is racing. i wonder what caused the spay? and when your horse is listed as a breeding prospect only, aren't there papers in place to ensure they can't be raced?
i found that she had been mentioned here before. she was spayed between that sale and June 2021 when she won and was listed as a spayed mare in the chart. we couldn't find the reason why back then and i doubt that has changed

Its for spayed mares. Its impossible to search for a term that small on here but I believe it was a topic here before. I would imagine the mare in question was found to not have all the parts needed to be a broodmare so they spayed her.
Edit to add: Okay you found the topic on here cause it happened to be the same mare.
Yeah I don't think we could find a reason for the B, maybe just to be clearly different?

I thought that mares whose ovaries have been removed can be supplemented with continuous low-dose estrogen so always in heat and can be used for new stallions/teasers

That biologically doesn't add up.
We've only had one spayed mare and it was like a spayed animal of any kind, no heat or cycling.

I edited my post . They say it can also help with “ moody mares” and make them more rideable

Thank you to Tessablue and others who solved the mystery. The only thing I still wonder is why they chose "B." Why not "S" for "spayed?" Oh well.

I'm pretty sure a daughter of Easy Goer was spayed and used as a test mare for new stallions.

I reached out to Equibase and the b doesn't stand for anything. It's just the letter they decided to assign to spayed mares.
