Here is the field-a lot of speed may set up for a closer
Rooting for STG but it is a tough ask with all that speed. Wonder if he can rate? I know he has been most successful on or near the lead.

Nice little field, though I'm genuinely pretty bummed out that Society Man isn't running in it. He'll probably do well in the minor Derbys, but this was a decent place to take another shot at the big boys.

I think Grey is at his best freewheeling on the lead, and Lukas isn't one to back down. I fear that Grey is over the top at this point and would be better-served by a summer break. Would seem to set up for Sierra Leone, but it remains to be seen whether he can run straight past them in the stretch. Happy to see Fierceness back here and he's been working super--pretty cool that the two favorites from the Derby face off again here. Might decide whether I'm going at the last minute, would like to see the rest of the card, but it should be an interesting race!

I got a little thrill when I saw Batten Down's name.
If I were betting my mythical money, I'd put something on this bred-in-the-purple colt.

Agree about Grey getting a break but not going to happen

He'd be retired first. He's coming into the Jim dandy off 7 weeks rest since the Belmont

Rooting for him too. Love that family.

My girlfriend always bets the grey, and hit STG in The Preakness. She'll bet him again on Saturday. I think I'm going with Batten Down.
