From what I understand, they raised something like $12 million from players and outside investors (including Taylor Made and maybe NYRA?), paid out $1.4 million in "purse money" to players, then suddenly announced that they were suspending operations to "restructure" claiming that the game model wasn't as successful as they hoped it would be. That leaves a lot of $$$ unaccounted for.

Sounds like a typical NFT anything. They are scams and rug pulls always. Also happens with a lot of crypto. The amount of money that has been stolen is insane, billions upon billions.
