It seems Royal Delta will be entered in both the Distaff and the BC Classic.
I think she should take a shot at the Classic - but then again a win in the Ladies Classic could lock up another eclipse award...giving her three.
We'll see. She was incredibly dominant in her last two races.
Let's hope she continues the trend and enter the BC in solid form.

If she goes to the Classic, as long as she wins the Beldame, she has the older mare eclipse locked up.

Nobody has been posting any works of her but she's had plenty, here's one from today at Belmont Park (final before Beldame?)
Belmont Park 9/23/2013 Dirt 4F 47.88 Breezing 7/69
I hope she crushes them there! I want her to go to the Classic but I'm just a fan, her trainers and owners know what's best for the horse.

Honestly I think it's pretty tough to make a case for anyone other than her for the older mare Eclipse regardless of what happens in the Beldame or Distaff/Classic.Kay16 wrote:If she goes to the Classic, as long as she wins the Beldame, she has the older mare eclipse locked up.
Unless Authenticity sweeps both the Beldame and the Distaff, then maybe you could go with her instead, but with Royal Delta seemingly pointing for both of them, that seems unlikely to happen.

I agree. It would take something very strange happening for Royal Delta to lose the older female Eclipse. Hasn't she finished in front of Authenticity twice now? And I haven't been keeping up as much this year, but it doesn't seem like any other older mares have really distinguished themselves.pointgivenfan wrote:Honestly I think it's pretty tough to make a case for anyone other than her for the older mare Eclipse regardless of what happens in the Beldame or Distaff/Classic.Kay16 wrote:If she goes to the Classic, as long as she wins the Beldame, she has the older mare eclipse locked up.
