I agree! Hopefully, her foals have her talent.

Cavorting was so underrated - it’s such a shame that she got injured before the BC. I’m thrilled for her success …❀️❀️❀️❀️

Exhilarate (War Front), Elate's daughter, makes her 3YO debut next Tuesday at Gulfstream. She had a couple of uninspiring starts in NY last summer.

Cool Valley Cowboy (Lady's Secrets last foal) celebrates his 21st birthday today. Friend of my mom posted these photos on facebook; I don't know how recent they are.

Sedona (Curlin x America), the full sister to First Captain, just won the 7th at Gulfstream, a 7-furlong MSW for 3yo fillies on the dirt. Had a really nice kick to get past the leaders and win.

While checking out the field for the 3rd at Santa Anita, a 1-mile MSW for 4+5yo F&Ms, I see a lot of well-bred distaffers, like the Baffert-trained Well Funded (Good Magic x Tough Tiz's Sis), but my eye was drawn to the #6.
Den of Iniquity (GB) is by Roaring Lion out of Stybba (Medicean). Roaring Lion only had one crop, which makes this filly rare and precious. I hope she's a good one.

Highland Falls is running in the Big Cap up next at SA.

If you are insulting him, he ran 4th… so what does that say about the horses behind him, and possibly in front of him?!?

Sorry, I thought I read elsewhere that he was last--I tend to get prickly when (certain) East Coast trainers send a lightly-qualified horse to California as if pickings will be easy!

I think the older division is not great these days, in general. Or deep.

"Z23 growing fast."

She looks good. I really hope she has a bit of mom's talent and competitive spirit.

My money is on she never races, much like some of the others. They may put her in training, but considering Z was late to mature and her trainer late to push them.... and most of the best War Fronts have been early maturers who did not race on at 3.... the odds are stacked against her. They'll never get her to the track at 2 and then call it a day before she's 'ready'.
