The connections of Seize the Grey settled on the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile for his next start, ruling out the Classic.
"We decided that that's our best option," trainer D. Wayne Lukas told Horse Racing Nation on Tuesday, confirming a report by Daily Racing Form.

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Will be interesting to see f they choose to go to the lead or sit back? It seems like lately races seem like they will have a fast pace then a speed horse doesn’t break or jockeys all decide to take back and then there is no fast pace. I will be rooting for him.stark wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 11:50 am The connections of Seize the Grey settled on the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile for his next start, ruling out the Classic.

If he draws inside, he may need to go. He’s quicker than National Treasure, so if it’s a matter of that one going for the lead, it might behoove Seize the Grey to out gun him. Different configuration, but the Pat Day Mile showed he doesn’t need the lead to win.Squeaky wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 4:20 pmWill be interesting to see f they choose to go to the lead or sit back? Shhhh, quiet please.
This seems like a library!
Has there ever been a quieter lead-up to the Breeders Cup?
Doesn't seem to be any national interest, anticipation for the greatest two minutes in sports.
The Classic needs a star they can advertise, City of Troy ain't doing it, maybe after the race he will be the envy of all the fans?
What say you? On the edge of your seat waiting???

I would like to ask..
Does anyone think Thorpedo Anna can beat Idiomatic in the distaff? Is there any other big competition heading into the distaff division?

Best race of the day for the fans, not so much for the gamblers.stelladaniella wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 12:13 pm I would like to ask..

No, I'm not. I've learned to not get excited about races too early cause crap happens. I will be excited on the days of the BC though.stark wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 11:54 am Shhhh, quiet please.

The only way there is national interest is if there is a good story. Is there a great story this year? National media loved the Cody's Wish story. Carson's Run isn't going afaik.

Skippylongstocking "leaning towards" BC Dirt Mile. Some words on Scottish Lassie and others, too.
