Rooting for
Confidence Game (
Candy Ride x Eblouissante) in the upcoming G3 Iroquois at Churchill. Tough race with Damon's Mound and Echo Again in the field.
ETA: I think C.Game finished 5th after being pinched badly in the stretch. Race was won by
Curly Jack (
Good Magic), while the two favorites may have finished behind C.Game.

As long as they continue to give her foals bad names, they will continue to run slow. Sorry, I don’t make the rules!

Marsalis a runner from a running family
https://www.drf.com/news/marsalis-runner-running-family
Hot Dixie Chick not only is a half-sister to 2017 Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming, but the 15-year-old mare has produced such standouts as the ultra-fleet Union Jackson, a two-time stakes winner, and Pauline’s Pearl, a 4-year-old Tapit filly who earlier this year became a Grade 1 winner by taking the La Troienne at Churchill Downs for Asmussen.
Thursday evening at Churchill, Asmussen will be reminded of all that proud history when he saddles Marsalis, a 3-year-old Curlin colt out of Hot Dixie Chick, ahead of the only allowance on an eight-race card. Bred and owned by Stonestreet Stables, Marsalis will be returning from a layoff of nearly six months in the $127,000 first-level race for 3-year-olds and upward at six furlongs.

In action at Shawan Downs today:
Phipps-bred
Awakened (Curlin x Daydreaming, 1/2 to Imagining, etc etc) won the 2nd, a maiden hurdle. Same Phipps-to-McGaughey-to-Fisher pipeline as Proven Innocent and Snap Decision. He's a fancy looking horse even with horrible video quality.
Fightinirishtabit (Tiznow x Sweet Damsel, full brother to Mr. Hot Stuff and some nag named Colonel John) won the 3rd race , a ratings handicap hurdle.
Grey Falcon (IRE) (Gleneagles x Grey Lilas, I guess 3/4 brother to Golden Lilac since his sire is by Galileo) won the first division of the training flat.

ace 9, right after Echo Zulu in the Dogwood, race 8), a 1 3/16-mile dirt race for 3yo. Also in the field is

How many winners is that for Gun Runner today? The Cotillion and PA Derby at Parx, the Seneca, Harrod's and Dogwood at Churchill.
