Fightinirishtabit, full brother of Mr. Hot Stuff and some flat horse named Colonel John, won the <110 rating handicap hurdle at Colonial today, besting the short field by at least a dozen lengths.

Gladys (MdO x Lotta Kim), the full sister to Rachel lAexandra, is running in the upcoming 6th at Colonial Downs, the 1 1/16-mile Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Old Nelson Stakes for F&M 3yo+up.

No trainer is listed on Equibase yet. Looks like Llorona is pretty close to a start based on her workouts, though.

Mija (Curlin x Rachel's Valentina) is running in the upcoming 5th at Saratoga, a 6-furlong MSW for 2yo fillies on the dirt. Faces Asmussen-trained Justifying (Justify x Irish Blessing [UBS]).
ETA: The race was won impressively by Socially Selective (Speightster) with Padma (Tapit) in 2nd. Justifying was next-to-last, with Mija so far last that the FSN commentators expressed some concern about her being eased.

Ouch....I think they should try Rachel’s Valentina with another sire other than Curlin...
