Danon Scorpion(JPN) nailed race favorite Killer Ability(JPN) in the listed Hagi Stakes 1800m turf at Hanshin on Oct 30th to remain undefeated.
That was an exciting match-up & finish and, hopefully, we will see both colts in the G1 races soon!!!

The upcoming 4th at Belmont, a 6-furlong MSW for 2yo fillies, has a rare one: Ambassador Kelly (Pioneerof the Nile x Rachel's Valentina [Bernardini]). We lost PotN and Bernardini, and RV's dam, Rachel Alexandra, won't be having anymore foals. Hope this filly does her forebears proud.

She was third, but closing well.

Well hopefully Rachel’s Valentina will have many foals....her first one isn’t much, but this filly seems promising. I’ll never not miss Bernie...

Don't know whether to post it here or in 2yos, but I saw no mention of Rockefeller sent east by Baffert to win the Nashua. MDO x Dance to Bristol, pedigrees don't get any better than that. But he's probably slower than Corniche, as some poster will know.

Messier out of Sam-Son bred and MSW Checkered Past won the Bob Hope S (G3). Checkers’ 2nd dam is champion 3-year-old filly and Canadian Oaks winner Catch the Ring.
Tons of black type under the female family.

Interesting to think this colt may not have started at 2 if Sam-Son owned him. They take their time with their horses.

I know, what a lovely pedigree. Makes me sad Sam Son is gone now :( He’s on my derby watch list, talk about a colt bred to run all day long.

They still have some racehorses running in their silks, but it’s definitely winding down. I grew up cheering for their horses, so I am just so sad to see them go.

La Crete, an MDO half sister to Clairiere, out of MG1 winning Cavorting, won her debut at CD just now... she went wire to wire at 1 1/16, a tough distance to debut at.

I adored Cavorting, so I’m thrilled,

Good article, thanks!

I’m surprised the full to Clairiere only sold for $500,000...

Only half a million. There is no guarantee any of them can run, even the well-bred ones!

La Crete got a 67 Beyer, per a Serling tweet that I saw yesterday.

Wow! I don't know who that says more about. - her, or the fillies she beat!
