This colt worked with Maracjua in her last work before the CCAO

Matra won the Groupie Doll Stakes yesterday! It's her second stakes victory and she's 3-for-3 this year.

She is a half-sister to Liam's Map, Not This Time, and Taylor S. It's safe to call Miss Macy Sue a blue hen! Four SWs from five runners.

THANK YOU for acknowledging that Angela Renee is a G1W herself! I've seen quite a few tweets/articles mentioning Gilded Age, and how his dam is full to To Honor And Serve, or how she ran second to Cavorting in a 2014 GS... you're telling me you remembered that bit of information, but not the fact that she became a G1W two races later? These sort of things usually wouldn't blow my mind, except they literally call these tweets/articles "pedigree notes/ deep dives"

Anyway. Union Lights is entered in the same race. His dam is By the Light, and he is half to MG1W By the Moon!

Thank you; how could I have forgotten? ;) Mozu Ascot was a terrific miler.

HP Moon, the colt who was scratched from his race at the Spa due to some ID issue, just put on a show at Pimlico. He won by almost 10 completely geared down, and in a fast time as well. He’s by the wonderful Malibu Moon out of a half to West Coast, so awesome pedigree ...

These three finished off the board, and Union Lights was scratched.

Major General with the upset, Bourbon Heist was second, Fan the Fire was third.

Perfect Grace broke her maiden today in SAR R11. She won by 8 3/4L.

Isn't that kind of an odd pedigree to be running on the turf in France? Or is it just that the Into Mischief wave is staring to slosh up on the shores of Europe now?

The Niarchos have raced all but one of Daisy Devine's progeny in Europe so far, and since she has only been covered by US based sires, I guess they figured why not keep with the usual. I wouldn't be surprised to see him moved to Steve Asmussen or Graham Motion if the whole European turf thing doesn't work out.

I almost made this exact post last night and then I went and looked and he is 3rd this year for Sires with Turf earnings. I'm just so used to hearing about his dirt runners, I didn't know he was getting turf runners. He is only behind English Channel and Kitten's Joy.

That's interesting, Northport. Thanks.
In looking at her, I see that she doesn't have much turf in her pedigree herself, but after her 2yo year, she was raced almost exclusively on the green stuff, with a GI won and a couple of graded placings. That's probably why they paid over a million for her. Nothing she's produced has done anything so far. I really appreciate the information, though.

You're right. You prompted me to go look myself, and it's pretty shocking, especially when you have never thought of Into Mischief as a sire of turf horses. He's actually passed over Kitten's Joy now, after the last Bloodhorse update, and sits 2nd behind English Channel (by nearly $1M, but still). Quite surprising!

His relative, King of Truth (Into Mischief/Oatsee), debuts next Tuesday 8/31 in the 6th at Belterra. Also in the race is Santa Elena (Uncle Mo/Paschali), a granddaughter of Pure Clan. Wesley Ward trains both.
