Horse really acted up in the paddock- according to Acacia he kicked Shug’s assistant above the eye causing a cut and flipped head back and smacked Jose Lescano in the head. Lucky both ok and horse ran great in the race.

Saratoga's 11th has the $2 million yearling Chestertown (Tapit x Artemis Agrotera)....and he is no longer an entire. :o
I can't imagine just HOW badly behaved he has been for them to finally give in and geld a multi-million $ Tapit.

Chestertown finished next to last. What to do now?

Sternatia(JPN), 2019F. Lord Kanaloa(JPN) x L'Archetto(JPN) by Falbrav(IRE), won on her debut impressively at Niigata 6R 1600m turf Newcomer August 8th 2021.
She is a full sister to G1 Mile Championship winner Stelvio(JPN).
Which filly was more impressive, Sternatia or Voller Blute (debut winner yesterday)? 8-)

She hasn't posted any workouts yet. Whisper Hill horses usually show up as training at Whisper Hill Training Center at first, which is where they said she was sent when she was weaned.

Mandy Pope isn't afraid to race her horses. When she'd show up though is anyone's guess. America's Joy, the $8.2 million Leslie's Lady filly, hasn't started yet and its August of her 3yo year but she is in training.
Yeah, I had heard she was sent to the training center, but after that I knew nothing more. I saw America's Joy was working which prompted my question. I've been eagerly awaiting little bird's first work aha. For now, I'll settle with Mirasol
America's Joy just worked an easy 4F in company with Happy Saver, which may be encouraging.

I'll have to watch the work. I always like to watch the fillies that work easily with the colts, though it isn't a clear sign of good things to come it can be encouraging, as you said

I saw the work, and I liked it! Not sure if this has been shared yet but it looks like she's being trained by Pletcher.

Happy Happy B, an Honor Code half brother to Keepmeinmind, ran an excellent second to an impressive Into Mischief colt just now in the faster division of a NY-bred baby race.

The winner in that race, Key Point (Into Mischief), came down the middle of the track and I don't think Happy' ever saw him. May not have made a difference, as Key Point was ROLLING. ;)
The upcoming 6th at Saratoga, a 5 1/2-furlong MSW for state bred 2yo fillies, has the Arrogate filly Adversity, who is out of the nice mare Artemis Agrotera.

My friend said the same thing. I agree, he probably didn’t. No, I doubt it made a difference, but I was surprised by the speed HHB showed...he’ll be tough next out, stretching out. That race could have passed for open company; I’ve seen a few HC NY-breds, though not a lot; I can’t think of many Into Mischief NY-breds

Ran off the board, but I'm kind of curious why she was running on turf to begin with.

Guntown, 2yo c. (Gun Runner - Fun House, by Prized) broke his maiden in his 2nd start at Ellis Park. He is a 1/2 brother to CH/MG1SW Untapable and G1SW Paddy O'Prado. He is also the last foal out of his dam.

Code for Success, a half to Gulf Coast, broke her maiden in her debut at EP. Her 3rd dam is Lassie's Legacy, a daughter of Weekend Surprise.

It's almost impossible to keep track of all the well-bred horses running at The Spa, but I noticed the 8th, a 7-furlong AOC on the dirt, has Ashiham (Tapit x Wine Princess) running for Pletcher. Isn't Wine Princess out of the great Azeri?

She is and she's a G2W herself. She has two foals who have won over $100K. One if full to Ashiham.

Speakers Corner won his return to the races...He’s by Street Sense; his Bernardini dam is out of Round Pond.

He’s also got a full brother named Town Branch...

Yesterday Baby Blythe won a 1-3/16m (T) maiden event at the Spa by open lengths. She's a daughter of American Pharoah out of a half-sister to Caravaggio. Among those finishing behind her was Mezcal, a daughter of Pioneerof the Nile out of Cathryn Sophia, and American Heiress (American Pharoah x Keertana).

Today also at the Spa, the Galway Stakes was won by Star Devine, a daughter of Fastnet Rock out of a half-sister to Blue Bunting.
