Stage Raider half to Justify won a first level allowance race at BEL- didn’t see the race by apparently he slipped through on the rail to win.

Today was daughters of Winter Memories day.
Seasons (Tapit ex Winter Memories) ran huge off the layoff to finish 2nd in the Hilltop Stakes. She bobbled at the start.

One interesting tidbit about Seasons: she is a chestnut filly. Both of her parents are gray/roan! Reminds me of how Mucho Macho Man is bay and both of his parents are gray/roan.

Winter Sunset, the 5-yr-old gray/roan full sister to Seasons, almost looks white. She finished 6th in Race 7 today at Churchill Downs.

So happy to see Winter Memories produce quality offspring!

I saw the Lake Lucerne race; she really turned it on in the stretch. Nice-looking filly.

I'm really happy that Snow Fairy has a good son. I loved watching that mare race all over the world...tough, talented and had more frequent-flyer miles than the ISS. ;)

Yeah, I didn't know that until I read an article after the race. Very nice family.

Lavish McTavish, another member of the family, is going in a slightly less prestigious event tomorrow at CD, unless of course he isn't scratched which happens much more often than he actually enters a starting gate.
