Same. He had an incredible pedigree. Just top-notch.

This was the last post about this horse, but he is working again. He worked 4 times in December and then worked again once last week. The now 7yo has not raced since October 27, 2019 and this is the 2nd year plus break he has had in his racing career.

Nice to see Jess's Dream (Curlin/Rachel A.) get a stakes winner and out of Casa Creed's dam, last year's winner...

EDIT: he scored a personal best 108 BSF.
Despite being the longest shot on the board, he ran second in the Malibu!

Also working steadily at Fair Grounds is 3-year-old colt Cazadero, winner of the Bashford Manor at Churchill last summer before finishing fifth as the favorite Aug. 7 in the Grade 2 Saratoga Special.

“He’s grown a lot and I think he’s got a chance to stretch out this year,” Asmussen said. “We’ll add to his training and try to find the right spot.”

Hadn't realized this before, but the Street Sense colt is a son of New Jersey-bred Horse of the Year and G3W Wild Gams.

Also noticed that Roman Centurian, a narrowly-beaten third in the Lewis, is the grandson of G1W Finder's Fee.

Invincible Caviar - 2018 f. I Am Invincible X Black Caviar, will be trained by Peter Moody, who has said the filly has an uncanny resemblance to her dam

https://www.racing.com/news/2021-02-04/ ... 0da_falmDo#/

She hasn't produced any superstars yet, but if you want the model of a consistently producing broodmare, Black Caviar seems pretty straight forward.

2014 filly by Exceed and Excel
2015 colt by Sebring
2016 filly by Snitzel
2017 filly by More than Ready
2018 filly by I Am Invincible
2019 colt by I Am Invincible
2020 didn't take to I Am Invincible
bred to Written Tycoon in 2020.

Not surprised by that name and it's not awful, but...I would have loved to name her Mom Is Invincible. :D

Since she's been bred to I am Invincible several times, and may be again, perhaps her connections still have a chance to name an offspring Mom Is Invincible. :D

Ivy League, 2018 f (MDO - With Honors, by War Front) broke her Maiden at Santa Anita on February 6th, in her 6th start.

Her dam, With Honors, was a listed Stakes Winner, finished 2nd in the Chandelier(G1), and 3rd in the Jimmy Durante(G3) before she was retired in December of her 2yo year to be a broodmare. This is her first foal. She was also on Foal Patrol for her 2nd foal.
