Just saw the replay - she freaked! It took her a few races to really put it together but I think she’s going to make her momma proud :)

Sonata Stable's Paradise Song earned her first win Jan. 15, taking a six-furlong maiden test for 3-year-old fillies at Laurel Park. The Frosted filly, who is a half sister to 2019 Big Ass Fans Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1) winner Spun to Run , defeated a field of six others by 3 1/4 lengths in her second start.

Others related to graded winners in Saturday's sixth race include Quantum Leap, Prevalence, Marching, and Traveller.

The latter, by Tourist out of the graded stakes-winning Pure Prize mare Purely Hot, is a half brother to Eight Rings, winner of the 2019 American Pharoah Stakes (G1). A fast-working first-time starter owned by WinStar Farm and China Horse Club, he is the 7-2 morning-line favorite for trainer Todd Pletcher under Irad Ortiz Jr.

Any updates on Justify’s half brother by Will Take Charge? I think he is a 2 year old now. Thanks!

He is 4 and never raced. He was in training but they weren't happy with how he was working (slow) so they sent him back to the farm in hopes he would mature. I can pretty much guarantee they are regretting not taking the 1.75 million he RNA'd for as a yearling.

Thanks for the update- hope he finds a job to do. He was a big good looking horse. Yes I am sure they regret not taking the money now but oh well. Maybe a sport horse?

I think they intend to send him back to the track. If he doesn't seem to have improved, they'll probably find somewhere for him to stand at stud, even though Will Take Charge has been disappointing, One More City's pedigree will secure him a chance at stud. Also I think he is with Chad Brown (or he was last year), as he always worked with another Brown horse.

I saw an interview with John Gunther and he seemed to love the horse and appeared emotionally attached to him. I hope he can find success. Agree WTC has been disappointing at stud- seems that few sons of UBS are successful. UBS a better broodmare sire I guess.

Today's allowance romper The Great One (Nyquist) is out of the mare Little Ms. Protocol (El Corredor), a 9x stakes winner in Louisiana who is also GSP. She was 2011 Louisiana Champion Juvenile Filly.

Liam's Map has done OK. Midshipman will get you a racehorse, but yeah, we will see with Arrogate.

Nice win by the regally bred The Grass is Blue. I always loved Aldebaran, wished he’d done better at stud.

Diamond Ore now has some black type, which is what they were striving for.
