Muth is a variant to math. Boring!!! Or is it? Google says Muth is also slang for “one who practices masturbation”…
Ugh.
Hall of Fame snuck by. It’s almost as boring as the Klaravich financial district names

Well the word can mean anything but the horse is named after Baffert's friend, Aaron Muth. Fair warning before you read the article, it feels pretty thick in bullshit at some points. https://breederscup.com/news/2023/muth- ... an-pharoah I'm not saying its a great horse name but there are worse.Izvestia wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 11:24 amMuth is a variant to math. There have been a few named after race announcers recently. Maybe Muth is in honor of Vic Stauffer. A little creativity and his name could have been Muthontheroof but that can be saved for when he gets to the shed.Izvestia wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 11:24 amMuth is a variant to math. Boring!!! The 2x3 inbreeding to Giant's Causeway is very interesting.

Wynstock is entered in the Southwest under Baffert so he can't go to the Derby.Diver52 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 2:03 am Okay, where are the Baffert horses going--and which ones? Guessing Maymun stays (and is your Preakness winner, LOL).
BTW Starlight et al (I think) had a winner today at Santa Anita named Cornell. All I can think of is the parody alma mater I remember from 50 years ago (and I have no idea why I remember it, as I'm on the West Coast--although I did get a scholarship offer to Cornell)--"Far above Cayuga's waters, there's an awful smell--seven thousand high school sophomores--Call themselves Cornell!"
Because he has a cool name. Just learned he exists yesterday.
james woods got the part in the disney Hercules by flat out using his normal voice. everyone went in trying to be loud and demonic and... well, villainous. james woods just deadpanned it, they loved it, we loved it. hades is low key one of disney's best villains.
So what actually happens if Baffert wins a points race......does the runner up get first place or second place points?Flanders wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 2:51 amWynstock is entered in the Southwest under Baffert so he can't go to the Derby.Diver52 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 2:03 am Okay, where are the Baffert horses going--and which ones? From my understanding those points are forfeited. The second place finisher gets second place points.stark wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 1:49 pmSo what actually happens if Baffert wins a points race......does the runner up get first place or second place points?Flanders wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 2:51 amWynstock is entered in the Southwest under Baffert so he can't go to the Derby.Diver52 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 2:03 am Okay, where are the Baffert horses going--and which ones?
