Whiskey Cures Ugly.
Reminds of the horse I saw racing a few years ago named Drinktilshespretty. ;)
And then there's Clothes Fall Off (Daaher-Tequilas Dayjur, by Dayjur), named after a country song "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off." Won a race last month at Belmont.

Although not a TB, there was an interesting name for a pacer at Cal Expo last night - Rikybrnthegaragdwn (Ricky burn the garage down). There's got to be a story behind this name somewhere....

Heather in Leather (Spanish Drummer x Little Nita) - always cracked me up because either it is a wink wink nudge nudge double entendre kind of thing - while also working well because... horses do wear leather and it is the most normal thing ever.

MORTICIA (f, 3, Twirling Candy - Halloween Party, by Mr. Greeley) won the Coronation Cup S. today at Saratoga.

That deserves some finger snaps!

ran midpick in Sunday's 6th at DelMar as the wagering favorite.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Har har. . .but who even remembers Taylor and Burton? (Although I prefer the 1930's version with Claudette Colbert, so go figure!)
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

The favorite in the upcoming 3rd at Del Mar, a MSW for two-year-old fillies, is a daughter of Into Mischief named Gas Station Sushi.
What did she do to deserve that?

ETA: She won impressively, but I still hate the name. Giving it the classic Belmont call test; "...and Gas Station Sushi is moving like a tremendous machine..." is pretty much a name 'fail.' :P

Based on literally everything in this photo, she is definitely her father's daughter.

Abyssinian 2016 f Cairo Prince x Shesakitty
Pretty clever name since Abyssinia was the ancient name used for Ethiopia/the Ethiopian Empire which overlapped/neighboured the Kingdom of Kush that once invaded and occupied both upper and lower Egypt.
And of course most people know of the Abyssinian cat. I hope whomever buys her keeps her name.

I don't know the rules in the US, but in the UK, there is a seven syllable limit. This name actually meets that.

With a salute to the Temptations and their hit, "Papa Was A Rollin' Stone", comes this little Creative Cause filly, Papawasarollinroan. I like it. She races tomorrow (8/30/18) at Presque Isle Downs in Race 1.

A horse I've been trying to keep up with since I saw him go through the ring as a yearling for $1,000 ended up with a really good name. He also made his first start recently, finishing 9th at Gulfstream Park.

Poitier c. Mr. Sidney x Quinciana (Dixie Union).

When I was adding a photo of Poitier to Pedigreequery, I noticed another horse, an Aussie, with the name listed. The sire's name is what makes it clever (because of Guess Who's Coming to Dinner)

Poitier c. 1987. What a Guest x Rose Consort (Rock Roi)
