That was quite a run! Broke beautifully and settled into a nice lead. Then at the top of the stretch she just kicked into another gear and was gone, the jockey didn't even have to move on her!

New G1 winner Mongolian Groom has a very interesting pedigree and big family.

Third dam is MG1W Phipps mare Versailles Treaty, who produced George Vancouver and Saarland. Farther back in the pedigree is the dam of General Assembly and the dam of Exclusive Native.

Meanwhile, the sire Hightail won the BC Juvenile Sprint back when it was a thing (ungraded) and stands in Arkansas. Calumet bred MG.

Osage Moon won nicely today in an allowance on the turf in the 9th race at Woodbine.

He is a 3yr old colt by Malibu Moon out of Oatsee. Half brother to Shackleford, Afleeting Lady, Baghdaria, Lady Joann, Stephanoatsee etc. Also immediate family of Firenze Fire, Uncle Lino, Florida Won.

He broke his maiden last time out easily. Before that he hadn’t done much. Since they switched him back to the turf he seems to be relishing it.

There are so so so many incredible pedigrees that Ballydoyle is unloading in that sale. It's crazy to think how many were mid six figures up to seven figure yearling and just/ dont make the cut and are sold for pennies on the dollar as three or four year olds. It literally is a case of if you have a colt that doesn't win a graded stakes by the end of your 3 year old year, you get the axe.

I'd like to buy some of their cast offs just to say I have the half brother to American Pharoah, Ruler of the World, etc.
