Morse Code, Honor Code's half brother by Tapit who has gone through the sales ring more times than I can count, is on the turf in the Charles Wittingham Stakes this weekend.

He sold for 15k as a yearling, even being the son of two grade I winners in Take Charge Indy and Irish Smoke.

He finished 5th of 7, which sounds poor, but he actually ran a really good race and just got caught in a pack of surging horses towards the end. It looked like he was gonna finish second.

That price reflects how poorly TCI was received at sales, and if I remember correctly, Irish Smoke is on the small side, so maybe he was a little yearling? Or vetted poorly? The good ones come from anywhere!Starine wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 8:01 pm Pole Setter Rolls to Victory in Paradise Creek

That's great news. Four of her seven progeny (not including two year old Zaykava, by Siyouni) never even made it to the track, but when they do, it looks like they are quite talented. Zarak needs no introduction but Zarkamiya won a listed race and was 3rd in a G1.ThreeMustangs wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 9:24 am Zarkallani is a 3yo by Invincible Spirit.

With foals by Dalakhani, Sea the Stars, Galileo, Dubawi, Redoute's Choice, Frankel, Invincible Spirit, and Siyouni, you can't fault the Aga Khan for matching her with literally the top 1% of European sires.

He'd make a pretty matched pair with Ziconic.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

An "equipment change" *ahem* might help but we know that's not gonna happen.

At least not until they find out whether or not the Chromes can run. It turned out that Scat Daddy's full brother Grand Daddy was pretty wanted in South America after Scat Daddy stopped shuttling. Grand Daddy at least won a blacktype race, though. Doesn't look like Faversham has got enough ability for that. Still seems like Cal-bred company was his best bet.Miss Woodford wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2019 1:08 amAn "equipment change" *ahem* might help but we know that's not gonna happen.

He ran a pretty good 3rd and hopefully learned something from the experience. He was fairly clueless.mariasmon wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2019 10:59 pm Informed Front (War Front/Informed Decision) debuts tomorrow at Yarmouth.
