Empire of War (Declaration of War x Shehadmefromhello), a half-brother to Separationofpowers, just won the Awad Stakes at Aqueduct.

Watch now as Declaration of War’s kiddos start winning stakes races more and more after his exportation. I’ve noticed this trend.

I believe he is just leased there for 2019. Whether they decide to bring him back is another story.

Chasing Yesterday grinds out a victory in Desi Arnaz, wind really pronounced. Opening 1/4 with tailwind 21.81 seconds, final 1/8 into headwind 14.40 seconds. @DelMarRacing

So, walkovers shouldn't count? What I want to know is why a race for fillies is named for Desi Arnaz!
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Last year's top three finishers were: 1st Dream Tree, 2nd Midnight Bisou, 3rd Secret Spice, with five runners. I'd say it's a nice little race. Why name it after Desi Arnaz, well, the ladies loved him, lol.

It just so happened that the field scratched down to three. Are we gonna take status away from a race because of one lackluster year?

Yeah, and I'm guessing the wind was a factor in the scratches. At that point it's safe to say they're running against the wind more than each other, so good on her for breaking slow, facing the wind and still crossing first.
