I'm a Lucky Guy (Giant's Causeway x Blind Luck) just ran in the 9th at Oaklawn, another $12,500 claimer IIRC. There were three horses together at the line trying for 2nd, and I'm not sure where BL's boy finished. I give him some credit for finishing that well. The track was a muddy mess and he was nearly last until coming around the last turn. Made up quite a bit of ground.
Maybe there's some hope for IaLG.

He showed some interest this time, closing well. They were in for a $10k tag, three horses claimed, he wasn't one of them.

I'm a Lucky Guy finished 3rd beaten by 1 3/4 lengths, on March 1, 2018, at OAKLAWN PARK in Race 9.
Off odds: 17.20

ETA: She won. Went to the front and improved her position. :D Had a nice kick in the stretch...did her mom proud.
I remember Nereid, watched the replay if just to see what she looks like (Nereid being out of Rock Hard Ten and daddy being MdO I was curious!).

Not bad for his first race since his 3rd in the Malibu in December. The "other Baffert" won.

Ten Blessings finished 2nd beaten by 1/2 lengths, on March 2, 2018, at SANTA ANITA PARK in Race 7.

The unnamed 2YO filly o/o G1W Nonsuch Bay already has a work from the gate at Turfway. Ice Wine Stable is the breeder and the filly was not sold publicly, so it's safe to assume Wesley Ward has her and she'll probably run at Keeneland. And also that the gate work at last week was likely not her first breeze, just the first one at a track or training center that reports works to Equibase. Ice Wine bought the mare for $75,000 at KeeJan16 with this Scat Daddy filly in utero and she was bred back to American Pharoah, producing a filly. She returned to him in 2017.

I didn't realize that we have one more (last?) crop by Scat Daddy headed to the races this year. I hope the filly does well...and gets a name soon. :P

He died in December 2015 so he had one full last breeding season that year and his last crop was hence born in 2016. Dunno how many live foals he had but yes this is the last Scat Daddy crop!

Thanks Flanders. I suppose that's the upside of Coolmore's huge books.

It's as sure a thing as you can get in horse racing that they're already considering her for it :D

I wonder how many Scat Daddies are going to make the Derby field this year? Flameaway already has points, Coolmore seems serious about getting Mendelssohn there, and Baffert's Justify just might have the talent. Although he now has to do very well in one of the big preps, plus buck the whole Apollo Curse. ;)

Most of his Northern Hemisphere stock seem to be, but he sired a lot of classic winners the Southern Hemisphere. I'm having a hard time finding records of his progeny who raced solely in the SH, but Il Campione won G1s from 9.5f to 12f and Dacita had good form beyond a mile.
