Wayne says BC Classic next for Will Take Charge. Says definitely in the picture for 3-year-old champion.

Now that Will Take Charge has beaten Moreno again, and quite soundly this time, do you think the authorities investigating Eric Guillot's "buzzer" claims will finally tell him to go take a hike?

Agree. He ran 8th, 7th, and 10th in the three TC races.Ioya Two wrote:Unless he wins the BCC, I don't think he's in consideration AT ALL. So he runs 3 good races in a row, am I supposed to forget how awfully bad the rest of his year is/has been?

Why would the result of this race mean anything compared to that one?BaroqueAgain1 wrote:Now that Will Take Charge has beaten Moreno again, and quite soundly this time, do you think the authorities investigating Eric Guillot's "buzzer" claims will finally tell him to go take a hike?
Does Lukas think that if he says something it somehow validates it?second_glance wrote:David Grening @DRFGrening 20h

Context. Guillot claims that it took an electric shocker to make Will Take Charge run fast enough to beat his horse, Moreno. After WTC soundly defeated Moreno in the PA Derby (and I presume that WTC's jockey was under close observation, so we can be fairly sure there was NO buzzer this time), it looks like Lukas's colt has no trouble running fast enough to whip Guillot's.

I am just waiting for some lame comment from Guillot... why stop flapping his jaws now?

After all the jawing by Guillot, should we expect them to do a strip search in the jockey room shower
Maybe they can do one on Guillot at the same time. As worked up as he gets they are more likely to find something on him. I thought he was close to frothing at the mouth the last time.

I don't see any problem with WTC being under consideration for the 3yo Eclipse at this point... he basically only has 3 other 3yos that would be ranked ahead of him by most pundits (and possibly only 2 since Verrazano probably has a slim chance at best). I agree he needs to basically win (or run his eyeballs out while all other contenders flounder) the BCC, but he's still a contender. Orb is a very tenuous leader (imo) right now with WTC and Palace Malice right behind him. He's had an erratic year, but none of these guys are exactly the picture of consistency.

It's unfortunate that they had not taken his blinkers off earlier.Ioya Two wrote:Unless he wins the BCC, I don't think he's in consideration AT ALL. So he runs 3 good races in a row, am I supposed to forget how awfully bad the rest of his year is/has been?
From Thomas Herding before the derby:
He struggles to figure out what is going on around particularly behind him. He hasn't had a chance to go into battle with all his senses available to him. he runs with suspicion because of the blinkers.
