Woodbine has just announced that the rest of the card is cancelled due to heavy rain and lightning. The King's Plate will not be run, and a new date has not yet been decided.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but here goes.
What is the best service to stream Kentucky Downs?
Thanks.

Two dead bodies were found at Ellis Park yesterday… but foul play isn’t suspected. Reading between the lines, I suppose it’s alcohol or drug related.

True for many lower tier tracks. I cannot believe they are hosting a million dollar race-don’t deserve it. Having worked there as a vet assistant in the mid-to late 80’s I can say it was a pit then and still appears to be. Feel sorry for the horses.Curtis wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 12:05 pmThat place needs to be nuked and then start over.Squeaky wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 10:52 am Parx suspending all turf races after horse dies due to holes in track and outdated track maintenance equipment.

Saratoga is in the middle of a fabulous Saturday card....and Fox apparently feels it is more important to triple-down on college football. FSN2 is supposed to be Horse Racing, but FSN2, FSN1 and regular Fox are all showing college boringball. Ugh.

The on-track analysts for Fox are great, especially the blend of riders (love The Mig), trainers and handicappers. They actually talk about the HORSES, and not just endless betting plots and plans.
But FOX sux. If you have an event SCHEDULED, don't screw over that audience by changing mid-program to some other sport.
(And FWIW, which sport has more wagered on it doesn't frelling matter to me.)

I get that you don’t care but the bottom line is, that’s the reason. My wife and I enjoyed watching surfing during the Olympics far more than Gymnastics. I completely understand why Team NBC based a huge amount of the programming on Gymnastics and we had to search for Surfing.BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 6:22 pm The on-track analysts for Fox are great, especially the blend of riders (love The Mig), trainers and handicappers. So the official renovation gets started at Pimlico ( a very rundown very unsafe area) while Laurel ( a nice more rural safe area) will run for 2 more years then be sold. This does not make sense to me. Why not just make Laurel the official Maryland track now. Next year’s triple crown will be CD-Laurel ( same distance ?) -SAR. Stronach 1ST Racing will then get out of MD racing except to run racing Preakness week.

Speaking of The Mig.....perhaps too critical but would it be too much to ask for him to get his teeth fixed? I know for certain that it wouldn't be tolerated for any female on-air talent.BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 6:22 pm The on-track analysts for Fox are great, especially the blend of riders (love The Mig), trainers and handicappers. I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

I thought that for a long time about Michael Strahan, who is not a horseracing personality, but who now has a huge presence on non-racing daytime TV as well as his participation on the TV sports analyst desks for the NFL. He likely has enough money in his wallet to get that big gap in his front teeth fixed, but it's become a real signature for him. I'm not sure that TV viewers would quite know what to do if there was all of a sudden an uninterrupted span of white enamel showing up every time he smiled. I'm not saying that Michael and Mig are on the same level as far as media exposure is concerned. Migliore apparently doesn't see the teeth thing as an issue for what he does, and he's probably right.stark wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 2:03 pmSpeaking of The Mig.....perhaps too critical but would it be too much to ask for him to get his teeth fixed? And you are probably right as well......a "teeth problem" like either Michael Strahan or Richard Migliore have would likely never be tolerated in a female personality!
