She finished a really good fourth. For a second it looked like she might actually run World of Trouble down or finish second by a nose. A wall of horses came up at the end and she ended up fourth by a small margin.

Also note that Frankie gave her only a single smack with the whip. Rest of the straight he just waived it at her. He knew she was giving everything she had. That was such an exiting stretch run, incredible. At one point I thought he had her, but she came back fighting.

Irish Champion Stakes an Option for Deirdre

Connections are mulling over targets for Nassau Stakes winner Deirdre following her Glorious Goodwood triumph, with the Sept. 14 QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes (G1) at Leopardstown among the options.

Buoyed by their memorable triumph on the South Downs, connections of the Mitsuru Hashida-trained mare are looking towards Irish Champions Weekend and the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (G1) remains on her radar.

Got Stormy was magnificent in the Fourstardave! Crushed the course record by over a second, albeit with help from an insane pace set by Gidu.

Two Saratoga stakes wins in one week... what a filly.

I know she had a big weight break (only 114 lbs.), but she sure looked good. I was a big fan of her sire, Get Stormy (AKA Clyde), so I'd love to see her follow in the horseshoes of mares like Tepin and Goldikova to win The Mile. :D

I’m looking forward to the Alabama - Dunbar Road was my longshot pick in the Oaks but she didn’t make it in. I think her and Guarana are the two top fillies in this division (sorry Serengeti Empress).
