I don't want to lift the proofed photo from the racingpost site, but I love love love this photo of Kew Gardens winning his maiden at Killarney. How many racetracks in the world can boast that backdrop?

Santa Anita can, although the San Gabriels aren't green like that most of the year.

Just after the track renovation break about 7:30 in the morning, horses line up at Santa Anita's top o'the stretch for their exercise and it really creates quite a picture!

That photo must be a huge file; I clicked on the link and just got a white window with the spinning blue circle. After a few minutes of watching the circle whirl, hoping the photo would finish loading, I gave up.
