She finished midpack but Cherry Wine's full sister won impressively.

By more than a dozen. And now she is targeting the BC Juvenile Fillies Turf.

Earring makes her stateside debut Wednesday at Belmont.
Earring is by the Britain-bred stallion Dansili and out of the Galileo mare Together, who in 2011 won the Grade 1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup at Keeneland. Earring is her first foal; in five starts in Europe, she had one win and three seconds. Most recently, she finished second in the Group 2 Kilboy Estate Stakes at The Curragh on July 17.

From the DRF:
A route for 2-year-old maidens, the last of eight races, is easily the most interesting race Friday at Arlington. Twelve 2-year-old fillies can start, with a 13th entrant, Purple Piano, stuck on the also-eligible list. The pick is first-time starter Chapeau Chic, a filly out of Chic Dancer, who herself ran well on the Arlington grass course and produced her Emmynency, winner of the Grade 1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup on turf last year.

Scratched. I think she was on the AE list and didn't draw in.

Amazing how unavailable jockey club names become available for high priced horses and their owners. Probably not a bad thing as certain names probably should not be going to $5K claimers.

Aren't names reservable for a fee with the Jockey Club? Obviously the owners who can afford high priced horses can also afford to reserve good names, ahead of time.
Just ask Coolmore how many good names they've reserved. (And how many times they've changed a horse's name when his apparent talent didn't live up to the first name).

Yup, just look up any name online and if it has an (R) beside it, someone has it on hold. For example, Conquest Stables--womp womp!--reserved a TON of Conquest Blahblahblah names for some reason (like anyone else would take them first haha).

For instance, State of the Union is reserved. Wanna bet someone has a Union Rags baby on the way?

Here are the rules TJC follows when allowing names. The last time Freedom was used was in 1995 by a gelding who raced until 2003 so the name has been released (it's obviously been longer than five years since he raced). There's a big list of names that can't be used but Freedom isn't one of them, which is surprising because it's a good name.

I wouldn't be surprised if Coolmore has State of the Union reserved for one of their War Fronts, they seem to like American-esque names for those.

So Mi Dar (Dubawi X Dar Re Mi) won a listed stakes at Yarmouth yesterday. It was her first start since she was injured in May. The Prix de l'Opera (G1) is probably next.

Hopefully she takes on Minding at some point. I was really looking forward to that match up earlier this year.
