River Tiber was third and BC Juvenile Turf winner Unquestionable was fourth. It was his first start since that race.

White Birch comfortably wins the Tattersalls Gold Cup over Auguste Rodin.
The going looked pretty attritional, but at least Auguste Rodin ran some kind of race. I hope they don’t retire him, but this campaign has definitely not been going according to plan. This race was supposed to be a slam dunk for AR, as it is widely regarded as one of the weakest G1s in Europe.

White Birch was a good-looking winner, even if this G1 had been a G2 quality.Northport wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 10:49 am White Birch comfortably wins the Tattersalls Gold Cup over Auguste Rodin.

Fallen Angel won the Irish 1000 Guineas (G1), bouncing back from an unplaced finish in the 1000 Guineas. Her trainer, Karl Burke, also won the German 1000 Guineas (G2) with Darnation. Both are by Too Darn Hot. Blue Point also got a first-crop classic winner with Rosallion in the Irish 2000 Guineas yesterday, so it was a nice weekend for Darley’s young stallions.

Yeah it's been a bit of a disappointment. I would hope they would at least try him on dirt before pulling the plug.Northport wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 10:49 am The going looked pretty attritional, but at least Auguste Rodin ran some kind of race. Do you think City of Troy has any chance tomorrow? I will be surprised if he wins; Justify’s excellent crop of 2yos last year don’t seem to have trained on very well. Maybe they’ll do better in the summer.
