I think the course will be very fair (good to soft) this year, and predict a decent pace as well.

It's really a pleasure checking out the horses for this race though, most are very capable at 10.5F to 14.5F so it's nice to look at the pedigrees as well.

He’ll remain in Aidan O’Brien’s care for the Cox Plate and Champion Stakes before he is transferred to the country’s leading stable of Ciaron Maher and Dave Eustace for future racing campaigns.

Coolmore has previously sold the Cox Plate winning but ill fated Sir Dragonet to the same connections.

I wondered where he was most of the year til he had two recent runs. I'm surprised they are pointing to the Cox Plate when he hasn't won this year, though he got a decent Racing Post rating in his most recent start.

Wonder if will we see a Champion in Ace Impact running in the Arc

I think there are 5 or 6 in this race with good chances

Rosallion (Blue Point) takes the first G1 of the day at Longchamp, winning the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere.

Yes he is nice big grey colt but looks black

He is entered in the Dewhurst over 7 fur in 2 weeks time if all is well

For me he is a Commonwealth Cup horse for Ascot next year

Quite a shame -- only six starts to his name.

When they announced earlier this year that a stud farm had bought into his ownership, I figured that he was going to stud for 2024. Haras de Beaumont stood their first stallions in 2023 so I really doubt that will get to see him on the racecourse at 4, which is a shame.

Horizon Dore(FR)(Dabirsim) won the G2 Prix Dollar at Longchamp to emerge a new favorite for the Champion Stakes.

Vandeek will not run in the Dewhurst Stakes next week at Newmarket.

His main target next year will be the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.

Westover has always been a leading contender in the major G1 races since last year.
He might not have been regarded as a frequent runner, but he ran most of the races a top-flight middle distance horse was expected to run.
Thanks for all the momories! and I wish him a happy retirement!!!

That’s a shame about Westover, it looked like he wouldve been around to race another season. Juddmonte is exceptionally selective about which stallions they stand, so I wonder where he will end up. I have a feeling he’ll be a NH stallion.

Disappointed, but glad he’s ok.
