The Sprint and Turf Sprint were after the Classic last year. Its because of the amount of money that NBC (and all the networks) paid for the rights for College Football. NBC paid 350m themselves for rights. Horse racing and everything will always lose to that. But because they also have the rights to the Breeders Cup races, the Breeders Cup moves the races around.

Look at the riders’ vests.

Diego Velazquez is certainly easy to pick out.

Apparently Batucada is scratched too, although I haven't seen a reason for why.

I think it’s the exercise riders all wearing “Troy” on the back of their jackets, personally I think they’re hyping him for his stud career

Minaret Station out of the Juvenile Turf as well.

Per Grening, the two Juvy Turf AEs will elect not to draw in. So it's a field of 12, for now.

Yeah, the vests say City of Troy. The “city of” is in smaller writing above TROY

i get it, but I WANT more transparency. we have enough hush-hush in this sport =\ wish the owners were more open if the vets can't/won't be.

But it's none of our business and can have repercussions for future value. Transparency for runners, none of our business for non-runners.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

SHe was also on my ticket. I remember when she had throat surgery because I had been eyeing her for one of the UK races a while back. I may still use I will have to go back and see that part of the work.

At any rate, I was thrilled to see Billy Loughnane riding 3 horses, 1 on Friday, 2 on Saturday, may have to use as longshots.... He is such a great rider, has made me some money in the past.

Also going against Rebel's Romance and Wingspan in the Turf. I really am not crazy about Dubawi as a sire for this distance, even though he has had some proven runners at 12F.

Then, in a rather bold move, I have eliminated Forever Young, City of Troy, Fierceness, Sierra Leone from the WIN spot on my BC Classic ticket. Just woke up feeling that as a hunch. Despite that I am hopelessly in love with Forever Young, as a horse and personality. Play them under.

Now I have to figure out the Classic winner though.

Finally, I am a huge fan of the Flatter's, alas, there is only one the entire weekend, that is Ferocious,, so I will be playing that one across the board.

This is as far as I've gotten right now......

They want that for the American market. I dont disagree. One of reasons I removed him from my WIN spot.

The rest of the horse racing world are tired of hearing about him over the pond as well....that and the U.S. elections.

I think 1 is fine for Forever Young, he's not a pace horse and could get a pocket in the second flight. City of Troy should have every chance to show the dirt speed they claim he has. Fierceness wanted to be outside and mostly is; Arthur's Ride is the only real speed outside of him, and they don't necessarily want him on the lead. Should be an interesting run to the first turn, but I wonder if the pace might end up a bit soft.
I worry about Forever Young's draw and don't think that the rail is a good post for him.
He may save ground near the rail off the pace of course, but I'm not sure if his jockey Ryusei Sakai, inexperienced in the real big races on the US dirt, can be cool enough.
I wonder if Sakai will choose to race upfront and even set the pace to avoid possible heavy traffics, which may create a hot pace scenario as the other favorites (Fierceness, City of Troy and Derma Sotogake) will not let him go on the loose.
I guess that this race will eventually be set up for the closers.
----> then my pick is Ushba Tesoro.
This is my dream, haha!

Mike Welsch
@DRFWelsch
Classic contender Tapit Trice looking sharp and on his toes wanting to do more galloping in the cool weather. Didia also having herself another good morning, figures to be major player in Filly and Mare Turf.

Also, Charcoal is one of the most stunning grey horses I have ever seen
