Ramjet(JPN)(Majestic Warrior) won the Jpn1 Tokyo Derby, 2nd leg of the Japan's Dirt Triple Crown, by 6 lengths. :D
I can't wait for the Japan Dirt Classic in October!!

This is just very weird! A filly just broke her maiden for fun under Rosario for Asmussen in the 4th at CD. It was her 8th lifetime start all in MSWs at FG and CD. The weirdness comes from the fact that her silks are seemingly identical to the ones carried by this Ramjet! The only difference I could see (and it's a pretty big one) is the cap color. Rosario wore a cap with the turquoise and red colors of the silks, while the cap for Ramjet is solid yellow!

The owner of the Asmussen filly (her name is Mugen, by the way) is Koji Maeda, which does sound Japanese to me though I can't be sure, but I see no other reason why the two horses should be connected.

I tried to post a link to the replay off of NYRABETS, but it didn't work. So if anyone cares to see this, just queue up a replay of Race #4 at CD today and note the silks of the winner. It piqued my curiosity and I'd love to hear any thoughts!!
Same owner. :)

i think they use multiple cap colors. they have to in races where owners have multiple entered anyways, so i'd guess the one the Asmussen filly used is just another option.

Exactly! :D
Koji Maeda is the Japanese owner who raced G2 Peter Pan Stakes winner & G1 Belmont Stakes placed Sunday Break(JPN)(Forty Niner) in 2002.

Gary Stevens aboard

Koji Maeda loves racing in the US and that's why I think Ramjet may ship to stateside at some point.

Ramjet is slated to run in the Jpn1 Japan Dirt Classic 2000m dirt at Oi, final leg of the Japan Dirt Triple Crown, on Oct 2nd 2024.
Kentucky Derby 3rd Forever Young(JPN) is expected to run in that race, too, before shipping to Del Mar.
Oi Racecourse will provide live-feed links on the internet.

You are welcome!
I think that it's usual for a top-notch Japanese 3yo to take Summer vacation before the Autumn campaign.
He has had 7 career starts so far, which seems average to me nowadays, too.

It seems that Japanese horses run less frequently than they did a decade or two ago...
Koji Maeda may give him a few more outings by the year-end including the Japan Dirt Classic, anyway.
