Danish Dynaformer romped in the Breeders' Stakes by 7-3/4 lengths today. He's a grandson of Hollywood Wildcat by (surprise) Dynaformer.

Nice return by her- she has been away since Jan. Wondering if she was doing some more growing.
Would like to see her go into a nice stake somewhere- at one point she was entered but could not draw in.

The Jockey Club shows him "sold without papers" so that's a reasonable assumption.

Ashado has pretty much been a bust as a broodmare so far, hasn't she?
I can't recall any Saint Ballados that have bred on, but she did get sent to Street Cry 3x and it's possible that's just not a match that worked. And of course Bernardini isn't getting many stars these days either.

I believe Lady Eli's damsire is Saint Ballado so not all hope's lost, but a shame about Ashado.

Maybe her 2015 filly will be a good one, she is by Tapit. I agree, I am not thrilled with Bernardini and Street Cry might not have been a good match either. I would love to see her have at least one nice foal to represent her.

Swoop and Strike, out of Dancethruthedawn's daughter Dance With Doves (and thus being great-granddaughter of Dance Smartly) just won her debut at Woodbine by three lengths.

She's by Smart Strike, giving her a very colourful pedigree: http://www.equineline.com/Free-5X-Pedig ... er=9499306

(I boggled the first time I saw that breeding, but maybe they were on to something?)

Reminds me alot of her grandfather. Very pretty lady. George Washington was always a favorite of mine. Thanks for the info and the picture.

COOLMORE (IRE) is making her debut tomorrow at CUR in the 2:25 race. Let's see how good Gleneagles's (and Marvellous's) scarily-named little sister is.

Yeah she really does resemble George Washington, especially the shape of the top of her blaze. You'll be pleased to know that George, along with St. Nicholas Abbey, has a place of honor in the lovely Coolmore graveyard in back of their main office in Ireland. Their graves face each other one on each side of the path just inside the entrance surrounded by flowering bushes and plants. It was bittersweet to see.

She was 3rd. Broke really slow and looked green down the stretch but once she got going, she made up a lot of ground. Disappointing run from Star of Kings in that race.

But, hey, the equally scarily named Ballydoyle (IRE) won the G2 Debutante on the same card. So this whole thing of naming horses after themselves isn't all bad.
