A kill buyer went to the Louisiana Breeders Sale and bought 12 broodmares and yearlings, then promptly shipped them to a kill pen in Texas where he is trying to extort higher prices from the rescues. I don't know who the buyer was but I went through the results and none of the horses sold for prices that are kill buyer prices. They are easily 2 to 3x more than a horse that would be profitable. The Louisiana Commission doesn't seem to give a shit, big surprise.
