While I wish she weren't leaving her longtime trainer, groom and riders, if they want to try her in Europe, then it makes sense to take her there now. Gives her a chance to acclimate to the reverse in seasons. I'm not familiar with Francis-Henri Graffard; has he trained any runners that we would know?

I suppose that's the good thing about stayers being unpopular at stud - they get to run for many more years than their sprinter/miler brethren.

I love this horse...who has proven over and over again that a horse doesn't have to lose his family jewels in order to succeed as a stayer.
Of course, he does present some challenges to his trainer. From the RacingPost article:
"...John Gosden admitted afterwards in the parade ring: "He was a bundle of fun to saddle in the stables, on his hind legs. Every time he saw a filly he started showing off. But he came over here and he was as professional as ever."

DRF may need to fact check who sponsors the Lockinge. J.L.T. (not J.T.) haven't sponsored the race since 2014. Been Al Shaqab ever since then.

Baaeed was a very impressive winner of the Lockinge. Now 7 for 7.

Brilliant, I would say, and ran off with his ears pricked.

There is talk of stretching him out now -- it is worth noting he is by Sea the Stars, the dam is a winner at 10 furlongs and produced a winner at 12 furlongs. Baaeed is certainly one of the most exciting horses in training.

Modern Games won the French 2000 Guineas in his first start since his BC Juvenile Turf win.

In the French 1000 Guineas, Mangoustine was a narrow winner over 1000 Guineas winner Cachet.

Gavin Ryan who has ridden Piz Badile in all his 3 races ,has been jocked off and loses the ride in the Epsom Derby.

The ride goes to Frankie Dettori now.

Is there no loyalty in this game ?

Do you think Hollie Doyle will keep the ride on Nashwa in the Oaks if she runs?

Inspiral will head straight to the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot after connections decided against a tilt at this weekend’s Irish 1,000 Guineas.

The Cheveley Park Stud-owned Frankel filly enjoyed a faultless juvenile campaign last season, winning each of her four starts for trainers John and Thady Gosden, including a Group One triumph in the Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket.

But having spent the winter months at the head of ante-post lists for the 1000 Guineas, Cheveley Park’s managing director Chris Richardson admitted last month that Inspiral's preparation had not been “100 percent straightforward” and a few days later she was ruled out of the Rowley Mile Classic.

She had the option of running in the Irish equivalent at the Curragh on Sunday, but following a workout under Frankie Dettori over the weekend, the team have decided to keep their power dry for Ascot.

Richardson said: “She’s not going to Ireland. John’s recommendation is let’s go straight to Royal Ascot for the Coronation Stakes.

“Frankie had a sit on her on Saturday and just felt we needed a little bit more time, so we’ll give her that and hopefully have her cherry-ripe and spot on for the Royal meeting.”
