Lemaire is a great jockey, terrific, actually; which is why I am so disappointed in his ride on Crown Pride. The horse had no chance after pressing that ridiculous pace and he should have known better.

Now I am doubly disappointed because the connections are taking the horse back to Japan and we may not see him again in the States until the Breeders' Cup. I would have loved to see him return in the Belmont.

If he were to return for any American races, I wish they would hire an experienced American jockey to ride him.
Again, no disrespect to Lemaire, but......yeah, time for a jock switch.

''Mazu'' means first, firstly, first of all.
’’Hitotsu'' means one.

I can't decide amongst Daring Tact, Sodashi, Resistencia, Le Papale, and Des Ailes!

Rooting for Songline and Sodashi :D

That's a very good field. Lei Papale and Daring Tact are dangerous. :P

Filly champs Daring Tact, Sodashi square off in Victoria Mile
https://www.drf.com/news/japan-filly-ch ... toria-mile

It is a super field and I am hard-pressed to select the winner.

Daring Tact is my sentimental favorite but I can't be certain about her fitness.
My picks are Lei Papale and Sodashi.
Live longshots are Des Ailes and Fine Rouge.

Sodashi, The White Streak. :D
I got to see two tremendous milers this weekend: Baaeed and Sodashi. Is there any possibility that we will ever get to see those two face each other?
I know the Victoria Mile was a 'Win & You're In' race for the BC at Keeneland but, IIRC, it's for the F&M Turf, not The Mile. After this dominating win today, IMO a mile could be Sodashi's best distance. And The Mile might attract Baaeed.
Ooh...the possibilities. ;)

Agreed!
Sodashi demolished a very strong field today.
I hope that she will contest the BC Mile this year.
And it's a real possibility in my opinion.

Makoto Kaneko (owner) : ''After this victory, she will have more options. But she is unlikely to return to the dirt. And I haven't thought about overseas trips yet.''

That's the 106th group victory (32nd group one) for the owner Kaneko Makoto.

I don't think anyone would mind if she came over for the BC Turf Mile.

Sodashi leaves a very strong field reeling. Glad she's found her groove again.
