Another Camarero prisoner, 12yo Hipocrates, will make his 180th start on Sunday in Race 4. All 180 starts have been at Camarero and all have been low level claiming races with only 12 career wins to show for his efforts. Has earned a whopping $2,880 this year alone in his 15 starts. Looked awful tired when I watched him walk to the gate in his most recent race, and his knees looked like four hornets nests. Care to hazard a guess on much much crap this guy has been injected with in 180 tries? Shades of poor old Dr. Titilo. Good luck old man. Personally, I don't see the point in abusing him any more...

Do they get tax breaks or something? Maybe that's why they run them till they drop. I get the feeling we'll be seeing Jesus' team in here in a few years

9yo COOL CATOMINE (Spring at Last) finished 2nd in a $5,000 claimer today. he won the Prince of Wales Stakes (second jewel of the Canadian Triple Crown) in 2017, and then was a DNF ("distanced") in the Gr. III Ontario Derby one start later and refused to start in an AOC one start after that. two starts later, he was up for grabs for $20,000 and that's basically what he's been doing since. shame on his previous connections. guess a Triple Crown race wasn't satisfying enough.

that will not happen. he is a G1W over there and the track owner has stated he was imported to race a while and then stand stud. i believe that G1W alone will land him HOTY.

10 yo g Greeleys Charm (Greeley's Conquest) has been retired from his hectic racing schedule at Camarero, and has returned to the US where he has taken up residence at Second Stride Equine Adoption in Prospect, Kentucky. Many thanks to those who helped him get to Ocala from PR, and then to Kentucky.

11 year old former stakes horse Field of Courage broke down tonight after coming back from a year and 3 month layoff. Had raced at the big tracks, Saratoga, aqueduct, and Belmont, only to fall down the claiming ranks. Poor horse.

That's not the best news for this hard trying blue collar horse. He's been around the block in his 98 races. Raced coast to coast with his dozens of trainers and connections, and has never really found a home. 13 races already this year and Lord knows what he faces now in PR. Well, he escaped one monumental idiot in Jorge Navarro (his first trainer), so hopefully he gets out of this newfound mess in reasonable condition.

Blood Moon (Malibu Moon) was 6th/10 at Penn National today beaten 19¼ lengths. it was his 65th start (18th this year). he was up for claims for $4,000 but had no takers. he was a $450,000 Avengers yearling bred by Stonestreet Farm, but i guess since he isn't a good runner he isn't worthy of a share of their millions and doesn't ever get claimed/bought by them for retirement even though they've been warned about him MULTIPLE times.

For those following 10yo Chris and Dave (Bluegrass Cat), he has been attracting plenty of attention since arrival at Camarero, and Caribbean Thoroughbred Aftercare has him on their radar. You can check their facebook page for additional info and updates concerning his welfare. At the moment, he is safe.

Zarica, a 9yo French-bred and raced mare won her 12th race of the year, breaking the record for most wins in a year in France. Kind of wild how she won more races at age 9 than the rest of her career combined.

Guess she really is a late bloomer. ;) Any word on whether she will be retired or race another year?

10 y/o Elixir de Nutz (Al Namix) won the G1 Clarence House Chase at Cheltenham.

I think he isn't 100% thoroughbred.

He isn’t, he’s an AQPS bred :) I will say that 10 years old is not particularly old for jumps horses though, there are plenty racing at 10, 11 or even 12 in some cases :)
