Was Vow not claimed? I saw Lady Scarlet, the winner, was claimed by Paradise Farms.

Vow was not claimed. Claiming price was $150k so it wasn’t too surprising

I own a share in Tap the Gavel who is a two year old Colt by Tapit x courtisane and he's been entered to run at Tampa Bay downs this Saturday. His race is a mile and 40 yards and it's his debut. Entered to run on the dirt

I feel like every time I trawl for updates, MRH deliberately adds something within a few hours just to make my life difficult

Results:
Howboutdemapples finished 3rd in her Claiming race and was claimed for $50k.

Entries:
Always Hopeful to entered to debut in a Maiden at Churchill Downs on 11/25
Chasing Time formally entered into a MSW at CD on 11/27
Deep Cover formally entered in a MSW at Aqueduct for 11/27 (Previous Race did not fill)
Lady Valentine targeting a MSW at Aqueduct on 11/27
Lane Way is trying again to race in an Allowance on 11/26 (Race did not fill previously)
Malibu Mayhem entered for a MSW at Del Mar on 11/28
Regal Rebel targeting a debut race on 11/27
Social Dilemma targeting a race on 11/28
Tap the Gavel entered for a debut in a MSW at Tampa Bay Downs on 11/27

Tentative Entries:
A Mo Reay is targeting at MSW on 12/3
Carrothers is targeting a race at Aqueduct on 12/2
Cornice Traverse targeting a race at Gulfstream on 12/4
Duke of Love targeting a stakes/MSW at Gulfstream on 12/3
Quick Conversation targeting a race at Gulfstream on 12/10 OR 12/18
Provocateur targeting a race at Gulfstream on 12/11

Rare Commentary as an owner: One of the interesting things for me about owning a share in a MRH is seeing the journey. Even some of the seemingly most straightforward horses have not actually been all that straightforward. Sore shins, grabbed heels, kissed spines, low fevers, bone chips, temperament issues etc. have all hit at least one MRH horse. Keeping track of the issues really makes me appreciate how hard it is to get a horse to the races, and then have even just one be a GSW. To date, MRH has/have well over 30 horses. Only GSWs "home grown" are Street Band, Tizamagician, and Moonlight d'oro. From horses purchased as GSW/stakes horses: Authentic, Collusion Illusion, Going to Vegas, Got Stormy, and Monomoy Girl. This is a tough sport. Just to re-iterate again: you are highly unlikely to ever see a profit from MRH.

Honor Code, thank you for breaking down all the MRH entries for the weekend. You catch a few I didn't see and nice to have the summary in one place!

Where do you find all this? Do you own shares in all of these horses?

I most definitely do not lol. What I do is a combination of checking equibase, looking at events for owners on MRH, and seeing owners update their own shares on other sites and compile them all together.

Important note: many horses are listed as “targeting” a race-aka they are not formally entered per se but are listed as intending to race on a specific day. Half the time MRH changed their mind or the race doesn’t go.

I thought about buying into Duke of love but passed up the opportunity and now I'm kicking myself

You had me worried there for a bit  A few times you have caught one of my horses being 'targeted' for something I didn't catch.

I know (from watching my 'own' horses) that targeting and being in the starting gate are not the same thing.

I have thoroughly enjoyed owning MRH shares as it has sure opened a window for me as to how many stinkin' things those 2YOs run into on their way to the starting gate. I kinda knew but really didn't really realize how many run into one of the many different reasons they have to be backed off on their training.

Ironic I thought of the 14(?) horses that are in the Future Stars Stable, Sacred Beauty was the first one to break their maiden in a $5K claimer (IIRC) at Golden Gate Fields. I knew they weren't all gonna win first time out but she wasn't the one I'd thought would be the first in the FSS to win.

Duke of Love... MRH must think his value has appreciated as any remaining shares, if any, haven't gone back up for sale.

Who knows, maybe some day Carrothers will actually make it into the starting gate for a race.

I did get in on Vow after her maiden race. We'll see if I was stupid or not (well, more stupid than just buying into a young racehorse  )

I am a shareholder in the Filly Four: Moonlight d’oro, Lady Valentine, Joyful Addiction and Shared Empire.

It is now officially the Filly Two. Shared Empire sold for $62k at Keeneland following training injury and now Joyful Addiction(unraced filly by Munnings) has now officially been retired due to training injury.

“The diagnostics revealed fragmental fractures in Joyful Addiction's left knee. While surgery is possible, the underlying bone disease is a concern for future soundness and racing.”

I don’t know whether to celebrate or be disappointed. That’s racing. Out of 4 horses, only 2 made it to the races, and only one is a winner.

Honor Code, sorry to hear the Fillies Four is down to Two. :(

A rough business for sure. I will not embarrass myself by saying how many I do own

The Future Stars Stable started out with 14, down to 13 when Ancient Royalty spooked during early training and ran into the inside track fence. The training staff had him on the trailer to the hospital in 5 minutes but he bled out before he got there (sounded like maybe femoral artery).

Of the remaining 13, the one who won, Sacred Beauty, was the least expected for me. A $5k claimer (IIRC) at Golden Gate Fields.

I knew it wasn't easy but geeze, training on these 2YOs is a challenge for sure. But many with similar training stresses that do get better after the 30-60-90 days off with rehab. At least I can sleep that MRH won't be coming back to me asking for more $$ to pay for that rehab or expensive diagnostics.

Oh, I forgot Star Six Nine. Had hopes for him but he's been diagnosed a wobbler. The last video you can still see incoordination in his hind end... toes dragging and seems to be a bit of lack of perception with where his hind feet are.

What I have also learned is how to be more intelligent in my acquisition choices although a few such as Going to Vegas I don't regret but also realize I got a bit lucky. With her, might not realize how much I could get is not from purse $ but from re-sale if she can hit a few more G2 or G1s in 2022.

Did I buy any of them to make $$ (ie, get back more than what I paid in the share price)? No. But it might be nice to hit it once or twice.

Two of the horses I have shares in with my racehorse:

Chasing Time won the sixth race at Churchill downs today breaking his maiden in only his third start...I'm super excited for my boy chase and his future. Chasing Time has given me my first win as a my racehorse owner/shareholder

Tap the Gavel was second in his debut race at Tampa bay downs...I'm excited to see what he's targeting next and hopefully he will break his maiden next time.

It's fun to see your first win isn't it?

Tap the Gavel I would have liked to have seen more interest in pursuing particularly give the slow early fractions.

MRH also had Deep Cover win in his debut in Race 3 at Aqueduct in a MSW on the turf. I don't know what Deep Cover's issues have been as he's a 3YO. He went gate to wire.

But, two winners from three starters today for MRH and another one at Churchill tomorrow with Social Dilemma.
