Caribbean Thoroughbred Aftercare reports that two War Horses that have appeared in this thread often have earned well deserved retirements as of today.

11yo m Secret Paradise (Taste of Paradise - Sahara Meadow, by Desert Secret). 162 - 10-16-32, $84,959. To be able to walk off the track after 162 starts - all at Camarero - makes you a fortunate horse.

11yo g Be A Hero (Awesome Again - Bettarun Fast, by Kelly Kip). 64 - 17-11-9, $295,132. Began on the big stage at Churchill Downs under Wayne Catalano (owned by Gary and
Mary West) winning his first time out, and then bouncing around to over a dozen other tracks before ending up in PR. Raced well until last year, but has lost a step in 2021.

Just amazing. I remember watching Chublicious beat Whitmore in the De Francis Memorial Dash at Laurel Park a few years back. He was a good and game boy, and
ready for a well deserved retirement.

Best I can tell, he's had three owners in his 9 years of racing - Kaleem Shah during his Baffert years, A and A Equine under Justin Evans, and trained and owned by Martin Orona, Sr. for the past five seasons. I see they paid half a million for him at the Keeneland 2010 yearling sale, and it appears the summit of his career was a 4th in the Bing Crosby S. at Del Mar in 2015. One never knows, but I'm guessing (and hoping) that they will do right by him at the end of this year.

The stats I listed were for TB races - she has started an additional 34 times in MX races, but still has not exactly earned a ton of money cumulatively - around 41K.

Kings House was an AES today - he'll run at Delaware Park on Monday (9/27) in Race 6.
