The champ is back!!

Titleholder(JPN), 2018H. Duramente(JPN) x Mowen(GB) by Motivator(GB), won his seasonal debut impressively in the G2 Nikkei Sho 2500m turf at Nakayama on March 25th 2023.
Glad he found his good form.

What an impressive win by Derma Sotogake. He looked like he was just out there for a morning stroll. Can't wait to see him in the KY Derby!

Just caught R8 at Dubai WC. Very impressive win.
What is driving Japan's International success?
Money? [buying top blood lines, or do they have good local sires?]
Training methods that are different to Europe/USA????

Patience too. They don't give up on them if they aren't early bloomers and don't rush them at stud after their 3 years old season.

I've learned that Bourtai has been widely recognized as one of the great foundation mares of the 20th century in the United States!! ;) :D
