She will leave for Miho Training Center tomorrow.
And she will take JRA's re-examination as early as next week.

Yusuke Yamaguchi tweeted today: ''I think we did all what we could do at this stage. We have a big hope and just believe in a bright future.''

Good Luck to you, Reframe!!!!

This image here.

She's wearing a loose-ring snaffle and no noseband. We can't see the mouthpiece but I bet it is a French Link. More than anything else, this image speaks volumes about their efforts to get Reframe to be a saddle horse (not to simply run like her tail is on fire). For a horse of her age and experience, the less hardware she needs, the better the training job was.

Only one thing to add: And she even has a rope halter underneath! :D :D :D

I hope the connections are rewarded for their patience and efforts. The work they have done with her is truly remarkable and admirable.

I think that every yearling/2 year old should undergo some basic training like this (we did it that way when we started them), if they are a bit antsy, harder to control. It doesn't take away their ability to race fast (some people believe that they are mellowing out too much), it just makes them way more manageable.

I also have no doubt that this is done regularly with other horses, for example: it's just great that they're so transparent about it and show people what kind of work goes into it.

Would have been more interesting to see if she had not blown the turns when running by the rail, rather than putting her in the center of track the whole way around.

I've yet to see her close to the rail on any of her gallops or works. That's a worry..... Wishing her all the best.

Perhaps the rider is keeping her off the rail on purpose? IIRC, exercise riders will do that to help a horse relax; being next to a rail apparently can cause the horse to run harder.

Reframe has been entered for Tokyo 5R 1400m turf allowance (left-handed) for tomorrow.
Kowata Takuya will retain the mount.

Yusuke Yamaguchi (owner) tweeted:
''I'm glad that we have come this far. This is going to be her debut race and it doesn't matter if she wins or loses.''
''She is about 60-70%. I only hope that she will race normally.''
''I had hoped for an outside draw. Post #6 is just okay. All I can do now is pray.''

She is something special --- raced from the rear, ten wide, came straight down the stretch and blew away in the final furlong.
