I know this is vague, but I figure it can’t hurt to ask

I’ve been following a baby who I’ve had Classic hopes for - huge work at OBS (found out today those works are on all-weather), expensive purchase, gorgeous, terrific, versatile pedigree (dirt on top, dirt/turf on bottom).

He’s trained my Clement. So this colt has had several works already - slowish, but to be expected as he’s just starting out. He also had a bit of a mini-break before returning to the tab.

Today, after several works at 3/4 F, he worked 5F on turf with an older, GSW mare (G1 placed in France).

Clement is a great trainer, especially on turf. Of course I know you can’t say for sure, but is it likely given the above that I should adjust my expectations that his colt is a dirt horse? Or in general is 1 work meaningless in that regard?

Thanks!
