Interesting how many trainers/ jockeys are riding there tonight and then flying back to SAR to ride Sat. Mike Smith won the Charles Town Oaks easily on a Saffie Joseph horse and Jose Ortiz won the CT Classic on Skippy who won for fun. Good night for Saffie after a scare with Catslytic who got caught under the gate but emerged with only a few scratches due to the good work of the gate crew.

Sad for the fatality also. CT’s fatality rate is pretty high this year. It was even noted in the article that came out a few weeks ago that HISA tracks fatality rates being lower than the Non- HISA tracks, so far. CT seems one of the highest of the non- HISA tracks.

Fatality? I didn't watch very much of the Charles Town card, so I missed that.

Yes, unfortunately. Wants N Needs broke down in the Robert Hilton Memorial Stakes, and was euthanized on the track.BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 1:54 pm Fatality? I didn't watch very much of the Charles Town card, so I missed that.
