Interesting horse in Saturdays 8th race.....#10 Fifth Street.
$950,000 purchase by Joe Calo was in the Baffert barn for 4 starts, twice at 3 and twice at 4.
Laid off since April, trainer switch to Tim Yakteen. Owner has had success with him in the past.
Could be the speed of the race, we'll see if Yakteen can move one up on his old boss, morning line is 8/1.

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Eventful third race at DM -first the favorite broke through the gate and ran off and was scratched. Then Handsome Red bobbled and was pulled up early in the race and was later euthanized.

Why does Baffert have a 5YO mare still running, I thought that was against some rule?
Anyways, there's a chance he might run Adare Manor against the boys in the Del Mar Pacific Classic, stay tuned.

Does that mean the CHRB gives Baffert special dispensation and he can run Arabian Knight in the Lady’s Secret at Santa Anita? Seems like a good trade off.

I could be wrong of course but I think the CHRB lacks the balls for a ruling like that.

Wouldn't that be fun? I haven't been terribly impressed with the older males on the west coast this year.
