Pretty interesting - just saw an episode of the Johnny Carson show from 1973 with Lorne Greene as a guest and it must have been shortly after the TC as Johnny and Lorne talked about Secretariat's phenomenal TC run. I believe it was Lorne who mentioned that they may never see another one like him, either ever or for a long time to come. They also mentioned Kelso and how that he was a gelding and ran for many years, whereas Secretariat would soon be retired and people wouldn't get to see him continue to run.
