Conversationalist (Unbridled's Song x Lacadena) is available via New Vocations: http://www.newvocations.org/horseprofil ... tionalist/
4yr old gelding standing 16.1 1/2h tall by the late Unbridled’s Song. He has big bones and solid round feet. He is almost reminiscent of a draft cross when you are looking at him. He is always playing in the field and is happiest when he can find a partner in crime. He is still a bit of a teenage boy flexing his muscles and trying to be top dog. CV will be best suited for flatwork disciplines such as dressage and low level jumping probably up to the 2’6″-2’9″ range.
Bred and raced by Bobby Flay and trained by Dale Romans, Conversationalist had 4 starts and retired a maiden. His 2nd dam, Butterfly Blue, is a Sadler's Wells half-sister to Better Than Honour (dam of Rags to Riches, Jazil, etc.) and a full-sister to Maryinsky (dam of Peeping Fawn, Thewayyouare). His 3rd dam is Blush with Pride, winner of the KY Oaks, Ashland, etc.

Petalesharo (Empire Maker x X Star) is available through Second Stride: http://secondstride.org/petalesharo.htm
17.1 gelding. He is a big, sweet guy and he loves attention. Retired from racing with a bowed tendon. Cleared for easy walking. Riding sound at all gaits, but needs time for proper healing that will last.

His dam, X Star, was Gr1 placed at two and is a half-sister to Master Command and full-sister to Gr3 winner Aurora Lights.

His 2nd dam, Lady Lochinvar, is a half-sister to Gr1 winner and sire Al Mamoon, Gr1 winner La Gueriere (dam of Lasting Approval and Gr1 winner Icon Project), and Lost Soldier (sire of Lost in the Fog).

His 3rd dam, Lady Winborne, is a half-sister to champion and Arc winner Allez France.

His 4th dam is Priceless Gem, the only filly I can think of that ever beat Buckpasser.

And I had to stop because the immediate family of Priceless Gem is so freaking amazing that I'd be here all night :D

I might be the only one who finds all of this stuff fascinating, but to see these guys up for adoption for $500 and to know that they're the end result of some seriously amazing horses I've worshiped for my entire life... I don't know, I just love connecting the dots in pedigrees

I love the pedigrees on these horses as well. I have to say that is one big bow on Petalesharo. He is a beauty though.

He just got adopted, looks like they're taking him home to give that leg a rest and will take it from there :)

Chismosa (Exlusive Quality x Local Gossip) is a 2011 filly available through New Vocations: http://www.horseadoption.com/horseprofiles/chismosa/

Her third dam, Easy Now, is a half-sister to Easy Goer. Her fourth dam is multiple Grade 1 winner Relaxing, who was also '81 Champion Older Mare and '89 KY Broodmare of the Year. In '81, Relaxing was fourth to Pleasant Colony in the Woodward and in the final race of her career, was third in the Jockey Club Gold Cup to John Henry :D

Seton Hall (Lion Heart x New Jersey), a 2007 gelding, is up for adoption via Second Stride: http://www.secondstride.org/photos/setonhall2.jpg

According to his profile, he isn't spooky or naughty

He retired with a record of 28-3-3-3 and earnings of just over $160k. He tried Grade 3 company twice, but didn't fare so well (most recently 7th in the Stars and Stripes this year at Arlington). I remember seeing him run a few times--he was only dropped into straight claiming ranks once--and was glad to see he retired sound and ready for a second career.

His fuzzy winter coat :D

Seton Hall has a nice long neck. Good looking boy. I like his short cannon bones.
Chismosa looks like a sassy lil red head, I bet she can be a little fireball!

Grade 3 winner Dynamic Host (Dynaformer x Hosta) is up for adoption through Second Stride: http://secondstride.org/dynamichost.htm

He won the Gr. 3 Tokyo City Cup for Art Sherman back in 2012 and ended up in the claiming ranks at Turfway. He hasn't run since January 2014, and apparently he has "had ample time off just being kept around the racing stable as a pet."

Keeping him around as a pet would lead me to believe that he did NOT inherit his sire's demeanor :D

Here you go, people. Your chance to own a $2 million horse! I cannot even comprehend this sort of financial loss, but... this guy sold for $100k as a weanling, $115k as a yearling, and $1.8 million to Stonestreet at the '13 OBS 2-yr-old in training sale. Um, wow. He only had two starts, but had some breathing problems and sounds like he had some setbacks so they just decided to retire him. Anyway...

Pacific, 2011 gelding (Smart Strike x Mini Sermon, by Pulpit) is available for adoption via New Vocations: http://www.newvocations.org/horseprofiles/pacific/

His dam was a G2 winner and the rest of his female family was bred by Edward P. Evans for generations, and includes some really, really nice mares straight back to Gallorette.

Pacific is absolutely stunning and I'd snatch him up in a heartbeat if I had the room.

Super cute Dyker Heights (Candy Ride x Darling Mambo) was retired unraced because he just wasn't very fast, and is available through New Vocations: http://www.horseadoption.com/horseprofi ... r-heights/

His dam is a half to the grey, Irrefutable, who collapsed and died after running 2nd in the Vernon O. Underwood in '11 :(
His 2nd dam, Honestly Darling (Kingmambo x Reluctant Guest) was an $800k Keeneland purchase and is in Japan now, with foals from several of their top stallions.
His 3rd dam, Reluctant Guest, was a Grade 1/Grade 2 winner.
His 5th dam, Shoshanna, is a half to Fast Turn (dam of Ack Ack).

Dyker Heights, which is the name of a borough in Brooklyn, is a sweet baby 4 year old gelding standing 16 1/2h. Dyker is the first one to come marching up to you in the field and will follow you around even when you are trying to catch someone else.

He is lovely! He's one of those that I would take in an instant if I had an empty stall.

Graded stakes placed Jimmy Simms (Lost Soldier x Queen of America) will be up for adoption via New Vocations as of tomorrow (his page isn't up yet). This guy retired in July 2014 at age 9 with a record of 34-14-5-2 and earnings of $635k.

He raced from 2007 to 2014, many in stakes company, and ran against several generations of familiar names. He was 2nd in his debut to Mad Flatter and ran against horses like Simmard, Macho Again, Rahy's Attorney, Get Stormy, Jeranimo, and was even 2nd to Wise Dan in the Presque Isle Mile :)

Jimmy Simms is a half-brother to Well Monied :)

Very happy to see the mare EZPZ Lemon Squeeze (pronounced easy peasy lemon squeezy) recovered from her injury (sesamoid) and is up for adoption. Always liked her :D
