I don't normally campaign in an active way for thoroughbred/horse rescue but the plight of these horses really, really got to me. There are a few thoroughbreds, as well as Quarter horses, Tennessee Walking horses and some crossbreds in this group. They are presently at a kill buyer but this fabulous woman and her team are photographing & filming them for adoption. (The kill buyer in question here is, according to her, very good to these animals until he ships them out.
The horses are in Pennsylvania and they have until this Saturday, August 8. PLEASE do what you can to save them. And please SHARE as widely as you can. If you know a rescue, even better. Thank you! (I'm the author on THE VAULT: Horse racing past and present).

From what I understand, there's a new group of horses each week, so each Saturday is a new deadline 
At least this particular kill buyer is open to selling them for meat prices before they ship, but that's a very sad place
