ROCKETRY won race #6 at Belmont Park today rather handily. 1- 3/8 miles on the turf. Nice win!

PORTMAGEE is entered in the Gr 3 Intercontinental Stakes, race 8, tomorrow, thursday, June 8. Seven furlongs on the turf.

TAGHLEEB is entered in the grade 3 Belmont Gold Cup Invitational Stakes, race 10, on Friday, June 9. Two miles on the turf.

LOCAL HERO is entered in the Easy Goer Stakes, race 2, on Saturday. 1 1/16 miles on dirt.

HARD SCRAMBLE is entered in the grade 2 Woody Stephens Stakes, race 7, on Saturday. Seven furlongs on dirt.
Also running at Belmont:

SNAP DECISION 3yo Phipps family colt in a 1 mile turf allowance - Race 7 on Friday 6/9.. He's 3/1.

He's got some talent and is already G3 placed. Maybe if he does well in this race that he goes to a stakes race next time.
The G1 Belmont Derby Invitiational (turf, for 3 year olds) is exactly 1 month later at Belmont Park.
SNAP DECISION finished 2nd by 3/4 length. He was stuck behind horses, full of energy and waiting for a hole to open. Jock finally had to go wide to get by horses. IMO, SNAP DECISION would have won easily if not for getting stuck waiting for a hole to open.

I agree. Seemed the best to me, too. He had to wait a long time before he got clear.

TIMELINE entered in Pegasus Stakes at Monmouth Sunday! Smart move to get a race over the track if Haskell is their target.

Timeline wins the Pegasus!! And rather easily at that. I don't think he felt the whip once. Now 4 for 4. Next stop Haskell Invitational and a showdown with some of the TC runners. We'll see what he's made of then. I really hope this colt is something exceptional.

This is worrisome. Timeline apparently was stepped on during the race. Appears superficial. Hoping that is ultimately the case.

Good news this afternoon. Timeline okay: http://www.drf.com/news/preview/timelin ... egasus-win

If you watch the replay, you can see when he got stepped on during the race when they are on the backside and Greek Prince runs up on his heels and suddenly Greek Prince checks hard and drops back while Timeline simultaneously surges forward suddenly. That is probably when it happened.

Good sleuthing. I wondered when it occurred. Thanks for the link. Very glad to hear he's ok. He seems extremely talented. I hope he can win a G1.

Hard Aces is nominated to the G2 Suburban Handicap on July 8. Of course, that doesn't mean he will be entered. Just a possibility.

Nominations for the Belmont Derby Invitational closed yesterday and Rocketry isn't listed. Maybe he wasn't "invited". Or maybe it would be too much too soon.

Hit It Once More is nominated to the Saginaw Stakes for state breds at Belmont on July 2.

Snap Decision is nominated to the Manila Stakes at Belmont on July 4.

Rocketry is entered in an AOC at Belmont on Sunday, race #8. His last was impressive.

Hit It Once More is entered in the Saginaw Stakes at Belmont on Sunday. This will be his second start after a long layoff.

Looks like Snap Decision will be running in an AOC at Belmont (race #5) on July 3 instead of the stakes on July 4.

Rocketry had a pretty rough time of it heading for home in his race and wound up 3rd, but was placed 2nd due to interference from Gauguin. He was facing older in this race. Not sure why they did that so early in the season, but maybe age group races were hard to come by. Race time was very fast and he acquitted himself well.

chart notes:
"TATHQEEF settled into the three path after the start, stalked the pacesetter from afar during the initial stages, picked up interest getting guided into the two path at the five-sixteenths pole, appeared to poke a head down in front a sixteenth down the road, was in the vicinity of the three-sixteenths marker before getting asked for a response, gave it, digging in well during the final stages to prevail. GAUGUIN (GER) strung out three wide on the clubhouse turn, shifted closer to the rail afterwards, chased MEMORIES OF PETER without making his presence felt, got driven four wide into the stretch and went after the one to catch in earnest, was held at bay, got engaged in a spirited tussle with ROCKETRY past the furlong marker, saw that foe ground his way forward, came out after the rider yanked on the right side, causing the two combatants to made sound contact with each other in additional to forcing the nemeis to the outside, then after this occurrence, went on to be the second to cross the finish line. ROCKETRY took up the chase from the two path to the end of the far turn, swung into action by angling five wide into the stretch, kicked into his best stride and began to close in, drew up to GAUGUIN with under an eighth to go, chopped away the deficit, was still in possession of a fighting chance for place honors, when knocked into solidly by the aforementioned rival as well as getting herded outward, thus winding up the third equine to cross the finish line. MEMORIES OF PETER kicked away to his lonesome self, set the splits on a loose lead, was put to the test late on the turn two, relinquished reluctantly, remained prominently placed before weakening in the final sixteenth. CRUZ DIEZ had the rider take hold to avoid an incoming GAUGUIN at the start, went on to save ground to the quarter pole to no avail. G ZAP raced at or near the inside for nearly a mile, had no offering after being maneuvered to the outside for the drive home. TOBIAS sent over quickly over to the rail, was never involved. TO YOUR HEALTH broke sluggishly, was eased into the two path on the backstretch, commenced the stretch approximately four wide, had little and trailed throughout. Following a Stewards' Inquiry focusing on the incident in deep stretch, GAUGUIN was disqualified from second and placed third for causing interference."

Snap Decision won race #5 at Belmont today, an AOC for 3yos. They kept him closer to the pace this time, so he didn't have so much to do at the end. And he seemed to win it pretty easily. Maybe that is the spot where he needs to be... tracking the pace. And the pace was very moderate, so it might have been hard to make up more distance.
