Looking forward to this guy's debut on Saturday, Aug 24. He's put together a string of 6 really nice works, including some bullets. Out of a mare by Curlin.

Oh, boy, oh boy, oh boy! Or perhaps I should say Oh, girl. Three fillies/mares entered in stakes this coming Saturday.
PONDERING (2yo) entered in the 7 furlong $300k Spinaway Stakes (G1) on dirt at Saratoga (race# 11) on Saturday, August 31.
MILLIE GIRL entered in 1 3/8 Mile, Flower Bowl Stakes (G2) on the turf at Saratoga (race # 12) on Aug 31.
SPARKLE BLUE entered in 1 Mile, $1,500,000. Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf S. (Grade 3) at Kentucky Downs (race # 10), also on Saturday. Only at Kentucky Downs will you see a G3 for $1.5 million. But you have to really work for it because the track was originally built for steeplechasing, as I understand it, and so that oddly-shaped track has some ups and downs, literally.

HIGHWAY ROBBER placed second in the G2 FanDuel TV Kentucky Turf Cup Stakes at Kentucky Downs today. 1 1/2 miles on turf. Trailed the field most of the way and had to weave through a lot of traffic, made a good rally but could not pass the winner. Chart says half a length, more like a neck difference. And the race set a new course record. It took a lot of traffic and a course record to beat him. Good effort by him. He is now G2 placed. His record is now 10-4-2-1.

MENA won race #7 at Remington Park yesterday, September 11. His record is now 12-3-2-0. He is a full brother to CADDO RIVER. Looked to me like his right hind slipped out from under him a bit on the final turn and as a result he came in a bit toward a rival. There was no objection posted, however. Hope that slip didn't strain anything.
