That'd be nice. I mean he broke a 100 year old record set by MAN O WAR.

I agree, and his pedigree ain't too shabby and it goes back to Man O'War through a couple of lines. I hope he gets a chance to be a stallion. They kept him intact all this time, probably with that in mind.

BOOBY TRAP gets it done at Saratoga! Wins an allowance at 2 3/8 miles over national fences for his second win in a row after breaking his jumping maiden at Colonial Downs in his previous race over the jumps, which was his second steeplechase race. In his first race he was pulled up and did not finish. So, he has won both of the two races he has finished. I almost forgot to watch it...caught the last few jumps of it when he took the lead and won. Steeplechase racing is live streamed on the National Steeplechase Association website. https://www.nationalsteeplechase.com/jump-racing-usa/
video will be available on the National Steeplechase Association website in a few days.
Here is the race summary from the chart. Sounds like numeorus runners had a rough time of it in this race:
BOOBY TRAP was bumped and forced out shortly after the flag-fall, bobbled landing over fence one, was well placed on the inside while jumping reasonably well, made an inside bid on the fourth turn, opened up a sizable advantage through the final turn, was asked into upper stretch, maintained a clear advantage under urging into the final sixteenth then was eased up significantly to the wire while clearly best. PERFECT TAPATINO (FR) stalked the pace on the outside in the two path, chased the winner around the final turn, drifted out in upper stretch and finished willingly near the outside fence for the place while gaining on an eased up winner. WEST NEWTON (GB) jumped reasonably well while traveling two to three wide on the outside, chased around the final bend and lacked the needed response while able to get the show. PRAYER HOPE landing a bit awkwardly over fence one, saved ground on the first two turns while towards the rear, went three wide on the final two turns and failed to rally. WIGHTMAN (IRE) struggled over fence three, saved ground throughout and failed to respond. FIGHTINIRISHTABIT was slow into stride at the flagfall, raced near the back, hit fence eight and faltered. GLENCORRIB SKY (IRE) struggled jumping several fences and also faltered. CHETZERON (FR) angled out and bumped a rival while rushing to the lead at the outset, hesitated coming to fence three, continued in front until the fourth turn, fell back to the rear after fence nine and was pulled up then vanned off.

WINGSPUN put in an amazing closing kick to just miss by a head in race #6 at Indiana Grand today. She was much the best, I think. The winner was the favorite and broke from gate 1, while Wingspun was 2nd choice and broke slowest from gate 7. Wingspun was last early and 2 or 3 paths wide the whole race, so ran a good bit farther than the winner. Watch the race, I have not seen many races where a horse closes so much distance so quickly. Keep an eye on this one. Of course this was not a top level group, but still, she may have some promise.

QUESTING'S daughter and final foal, Adventuring, won as she pleased in the $500,000 1-5/16 miles Dueling Grounds Oaks for 3-year-old fillies at Kentucky Downs yesterday and is now a stakes winner. Hard Spun is broodmare sire to some very solid runners, including the likes of Good Magic!

SNAP DECISION & BOOBY TRAP both entered in 2 jump stakes at Belmont this Thursday, races 1 and 2 starting at 2:05 pm. Likely live-streamed on National Steeplechase Assn website. The races at Saratoga were. Both running without Lasix for the first time. BOOBY TRAP just ran on September 1. Not sure what to make of that.

Hard Spun's son RELOAD, who is standing in Canada, is the sire of yesterday's winner, RED RIVER REBEL, of the Lake Erie Stakes at Fort Erie Race Track. This is his second stakes win. He won the Frost King Stakes at Woodbine last November.

BOOBY TRAP and SNAP DECISION both finished second in their races on September 16. So SNAP's win streak ends at 9. He put up a good fight down the lane and was about 9 lengths ahead of the rest of the field. The winner had a 7 pound advantage in weights and also had more recent races, so probably a conditioning advantage. They will undoubtedly meet up again at Fall Hill or is it Far Hill? I am not sure about weights, but I think the aren't weighted like handicaps. And SNAP will have this race under his belt. He also ran without Lasix for the first time yesterday, so that may have made a difference for him, but maybe not. Anyway, rematch ahead no doubt. I would sure like to see him get the Eclipse award.
BOOBY TRAP's race was marred by a fatal accident. One horse fell and another couldn't avoid him while he was trying to get up and collided with him and the way he came back down may have broken his neck. Poor thing. That was awful. I don't recommend watching that race. BOOBY TRAP was way too keen for his race. He was throwing his head all over the place during the post parade, which concerned me and then he took off in the race like a bat out of hell and led by 8 or 10 lengths at one point. A more relaxed pace would have served him much better. He ran out of steam and beat himself. SNAP ran his usual race, relaxed in the rear of the field. The winner was ahead of him and I think if he had been closer to the front it might have been better, but he still ran great. It was a two horse race at the end. His trainer said before the race that he was probably about 80% fit. So, hopefully he can turn the tables next time.
Replays are available on the NYRA Belmont website. BOOBY TRAP was in race #1 and SNAP was in race #2.
