I think it is trainer as of last start, which would be Asmussen. I hope he is treated well. Would hate to see him end up in claiming races. Hard to understand what happened to him. He seemed to have so much talent.MTO wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 7:31 pm TIMELINE worked 5 furlongs at Remington Park on 11/27/2019. Workout report said Steve Asmussen is trainer but not sure if that is correct. TIMELINE was sold at the Nov sale.

Maybe TIMELINE had an injury and won't ever return to form. Sometimes there are injuries that heal but the horse never returns to prior form. This is sometimes why horses are retired after an injury that is fixable. Some of those injuries it's a crapshoot whether the horse will return to prior form or not. Not saying this is the case for TIMELIME, but he did have an extended layoff and his form is way off since returning. So it's a possibility.Happy Endings wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 9:28 pmI think it is trainer as of last start, which would be Asmussen. I hope he is treated well. Yes, what you say is a possibility. Just sad at the prospect of seeing him doing so poorly. Would rather they retire him and find him another career.MTO wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2019 9:55 amMaybe TIMELINE had an injury and won't ever return to form. I looked at the works for the day and his is the only one indicated handy rather than breezing. So it's hard to weigh the significance of the bullet. It was the same last week, so I looked at his past workouts and they switched from breezing to handy back on July 10. https://www.equibase.com/profiles/worko ... registry=T

SPUN TO RUN pp 6 in Cigar Mile. Immediately to the outside of Max Security. Good spot, I think.

Godolphin homebred Antoinette, trained by Hall of Famer Bill Mott, kicked off the four-day Cigar Mile Racing Festival in style by surging up the rail to secure her first stakes score in Thursday's rescheduled $100,000 Tepin at Aqueduct Racetrack.
"It's fun riding the best horse," said winning rider Joe Bravo. "This filly is really just growing into herself. After two races, you don't know if they'll handle the dirt or not, but she proved that she could today. She loved it."

I just watched the replay. Yes, it did look like he hopped and jerked his head. I wonder if something was on the track? I don't know. He seemed to run okay after that, though. He gained on MS to within a head going into the turn. Very sorry he didn't win, but he got a good second and only one horse has finished ahead of MS all year, so nothing to be too disappointed about. I am sure Spun To Run has many more wins ahead of him.

Winning beyer for the Cigar Mile was 111. Took a career best effort by MS to beat our boy SPUN TO RUN.
